Each of our 6 guest rooms are spacious and offer a queen-sized or two twin-sized beds. From the moment you step inside Monroe Street Suites, you will notice our wonderful African decor. Each room is tastefully decorated in its own unique theme, including: Lions, Giraffes, Elephants, Monkeys, Zebras and Big Cats.

Apparently our construction project didn't get the memo about our timeline. 😂

We're getting there!

The work out front has taken a little longer than expected, but we'd much rather have it done right than done fast.

This week should bring some of the pieces we've been most excited about—and we're finally getting close enough that we can see the vision coming together.

So we're going to resist showing you too much just yet...

But we promise, there's something beautiful hiding underneath all that construction mess. ❤️

We're in the home stretch. 🙌

If you've driven past Monroe Street Suites lately, you've definitely seen the mess.

But we're getting SO close.

What started as a vision for a more beautiful, welcoming entrance is finally beginning to come together—and if everything stays on track, we should be wrapping up construction this weekend.

Thank you for bearing with the dirt, equipment and general chaos out front while we've been working.

If these walls could talk...

Monroe Street Suites didn't become what it is today overnight.

There have been projects.
Mess.
Decisions we questioned.
Things that took twice as long as expected.

And plenty of moments when "before" looked a whole lot worse before it started looking better.

But that's part of what makes this place special to us.
We're not trying to build a cookie-cutter hotel.
We're slowly creating something that belongs here—a beautiful, comfortable place in the heart of Pittsfield where guests can come in, settle down and feel at home.

And we're still not finished.

Maybe that's our favorite part. ❤️

A little unexpected behind-the-scenes update from Monroe Street Suites…
We have unfortunately experienced damage to our sewer line during this current project out front. 😕
That has meant something we REALLY don't like doing — closing our doors for four nights while everything is repaired properly. 🥵

Owning and improving an older property definitely comes with a few surprises. 😅 But when something isn't right, we're going to fix it the right way rather than work around it and compromise our guests' experience.

The good news? Repairs are underway, and we'll be back to welcoming guests very soon.

Not exactly the upgrade we thought we'd be working on this week… 😂 but it's all part of taking care of this little place we love.

Thank you for your patience while we get Monroe back up and running. ❤️ The FINISHED product is the MAIN goal and it will be SO WORTH it!
