COMMUNITY OVER COMPETITION. ❤️

We have to give a HUGE shoutout to Brock Sappington over at Rodeway Inn here in Pittsfield!

A little while back, David shared a post about the red chairs he built for Monroe Street Suites and mentioned he'd love to make more. Well, Brock reached out and ordered a set of two.

What we didn't realize until we delivered them was that those chairs were going right out front of the Rodeway Inn office! And we both thought that was SO COOL! Here's someone managing another motel right here in our little town, choosing to support another local business rather than viewing us strictly as competition.

THAT is the kind of mindset that helps small communities grow! ❤️

There's room for all of us to succeed. And when we start seeing one another as collaborators rather than competitors, pretty cool things can happen.

THANK YOU, Brock, for supporting David's work and for being a great example of community over competition!

Small towns grow stronger when we root for each other. ❤️

📦 SOMETHING NEW IS HAPPENING AT MONROE STREET SUITES!

We're excited to officially announce that Monroe Street Suites is now an Amazon Hub for Amazon Flex!

After a whole lot of work behind the scenes and getting all the little details in place, we're thrilled to see those Amazon packages arriving!

What makes this especially exciting is the opportunity it brings to Pittsfield and our surrounding communities. We're proud to be bringing something new to our small town and look forward to watching this next chapter grow.

Because BIG things can happen in small towns, too! ❤️

Something new is coming to Monroe Street Suites... 👀

If you've been around awhile, you might remember Clean Eatz meals from our health food store days. They were a local FAVORITE then—and we're bringing them back. ❤️

We're currently working on a brand-new self-serve market inside Monroe Street Suites, designed to make grabbing something quick, convenient and nutritious a whole lot easier.

We're starting with:
🥗 Clean Eatz frozen meals
🥤 1st Phorm protein drinks & products..and more to come. 😊

For our guests, it means arriving after a long travel day and not having to figure out dinner.

For locals, it means some familiar favorites are coming back to Pittsfield.
And for us?

It's one more way we're continuing to rethink what a little six-room hotel can offer. ❤️

The market area is being renovated now, and we'll show you the finished space—and exactly how it works—as soon as it's ready.

Stay tuned. We're just getting started.

Maybe one of the best compliments a hotel can receive is that it doesn't really feel like a hotel.

We hear versions of that from our guests often. Comfortable. Quiet. Easy. Like home—but without the laundry waiting for you. 😉

And that's exactly what we've always wanted Monroe Street Suites to be. Not flashy. Not complicated. Just thoughtfully created spaces where you can come in, close the door, get comfortable and actually rest.

Because sometimes the best part of traveling is finding somewhere that makes being away from home feel really good. ❤️

She's come a long way. ❤️

For a while, all anyone could see out front was dirt, equipment, construction—and a vision that mostly existed in our heads. But this is what we were working toward.

We wanted the outside of Monroe Street Suites to finally feel like the experience we've been creating inside.

Warm. Welcoming. A little unexpected. A place to sit with your morning coffee. A place to slow down for a few minutes before heading out. A place that makes you feel like you've arrived somewhere special before you ever open the front door.

The pergola went up. The turf went down. The planters filled in.

We added a few locally found pumpkins for fall. And those RED chairs finally got their debut. ❤️

Is there always another little idea brewing around here? Absolutely. 😂

But this chapter feels pretty darn good.

Welcome to Monroe Street Suites.

Apparently we aren't the only ones who love Pittsfield in the fall. 🍂

Our fall calendar at Monroe Street Suites is filling up quickly, and seeing those weekends start to fill is pretty exciting for our little six-room hotel.

So instead of telling you that you should plan a fall getaway...We're just going to tell you this: If you've been thinking about one, don't wait too long. ❤️

Come spend a night or two in Pittsfield. Find somewhere local for dinner. Take the long way around town. Sleep in. Drink your coffee slowly. And enjoy the kind of weekend that doesn't need a packed itinerary to feel like you got away.

We'd love to have you—if we still have a room waiting. 😉

The finishing touches at Monroe needed one very important thing... pumpkins. 🎃

And when you live in a small town, sometimes the best places to shop don't have a website, a checkout line—or even a cashier. ❤️ Just a roadside stand, a handwritten “Punkins for Sale” sign, and a whole lot of really good pumpkins and gourds.

We stopped at this little self-serve spot to stock up for the finishing fall touches at Monroe Street Suites, and honestly... this is exactly the kind of thing we love about living here. Supporting local doesn't always mean walking into a storefront. Sometimes it means pulling over on the side of the road, picking out your favorites, and leaving with an armful of pumpkins. 🍂

Now it's time to make Monroe look like fall.

You don't always have to go far to feel like you've gotten away.

Sometimes it's a quieter street. A slower morning. Dinner somewhere local. Coffee with nowhere you need to be. And a place that feels good to come back to at the end of the day.

That's what we love about Pittsfield.

And that's what we hope Monroe Street Suites gives you while you're here. Not just somewhere to sleep. A little room to slow down. ❤️

One of our favorite things about being small?

We don't have to make every room the same. 🤗

Monroe Street Suites has just six guest rooms, and each one has its own personality.

Different colors.
Different details.
Different layouts.

But the things that matter stay the same:
Comfort.
Cleanliness.
Privacy.
And a space that feels good to come back to.

So now we're curious...
Which room are you choosing? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6? 👇
