Whiskey River Music Festival August 3rd-5th 2012 FRI/SAT/SUN August 3rd - 5th Whitewater Rafting and music Rafting! Music! Food! Radicalness!!! We’re doing it again! We will be hosting superb talent.

Come out August 3rd -4th for the 5th annual Whiskey River Music Festival! Come out and join your favorite musicians on the river as we rock the weekend away with rafting, dancing, live music, gourmet food, sauna, and oh yes, the ice luge! Amazing musicians will be picking, plucking and slapping away the weekend with rocking feel-good bluegrass, funk, and rock. We will be holding this event at the

Nugget (which is a private 5 acre campground with 800 ft of river frontage located 5 minutes from Placerville Ca.) August 3rd at 7pm will be Santa Cruz’s finest world funk 7 piece ensemble, New World Ape. They rocked the party last year and are coming back after releasing a new album and gaining a talented vocalist. Also playing August 3rd is the Bluegrass rock band, Brother’s Comatose who is sweeping California and becoming the most infamous bass slapping, string picking, soulful rocking, bluegrass slamming band this side of the Mississippi. Come out and join them as they have pie for breakfast and a whitewater raft trip for lunch. On Saturday, give your ears a break and let your adrenaline and the cool water of the South Fork American River wash away your blues ‘n’ booze away as Wilderness Adventures guides you right from the Nugget, down one of the most popular whitewater sections of the American River. On Saturday night we have another great set of music with Barrel Fever from Sacramento, Tha Dirt Feelin’ from Davis, and the Obsidian Butterfly fire dancers of Sacramento. Stay tuned for the full list of musicians for Saturday as we are still picking up bands. This is a great venue and an amazing chance to get to know all the artists personally throughout the day. Located on the river, the Nugget has the accommodations of manicured lawns, full showers, and bathrooms. Enjoy swimming and lounging, drive up the road for a hike, play volleyball, or better yet go rafting with us Friday and Saturday. See ya on the river!
