Lots of work has been getting done at Hideaway Bay Beach Club since the hurricanes last fall. All new windows and sliders. Cleaning up of the grounds. Huge landscaping clean up and trimming. We still have some work to complete in the community but it doesn’t hinder the beauty of the island and the amenities of our community. Ferry is back in action and on its regular schedule. Post hurricanes Helene and Milton effects on HBBC include a damaged mainland dock and parking lot, so our community ferry (our skiff at present, see pic below)is running out of Eldred’s Marina where you can also pay to park. The pool at HBBC is not available. The community ice machine is not available. The boardwalk to the beach has about an 18-20 inch step down to the beach as we lost the very last segment that steps down to the sand. We do have an owners dock (for personal watercraft no longer than 24 feet) and ferry dock on the island that are fine and usable. Our internet is also up and running again. There are likely no golf carts available to rent on the island. That being said, the community is shaping up as clean up continues and building maintenance and repair (from Hurricane Ian of 2 years ago) is ongoing. So while the island and community are not “pristine” they are definitely usable and enjoyable. Pics are since the recent hurricanes. We thankfully have come through the recent Hurricanes with minimal damage and are ready to rent. The community amenities are not all available at present due to hurricane damage and our rates will reflect that. S & S Beach Rental is located at the Hideaway Bay Beach Club on Little Gasparilla Island. The amenities of the beach club are available to you! These include a heated inground pool, an owners dock for your personal watercraft (under 24 feet long) with electric, water and a fish cleaning table, a free passenger ferry and free gated and secured mainland parking lot, a commercial ice machine to fill your coolers, a barbecue and smoker pit and a boardwalk to the beach.

A day on Little Gasparilla Island might include exploring the beach where you can look for shells and shark teeth, go for a swim or snorkel in the clear, aqua blue water, or walk along the beach and spot a dolphin, a school of rays, or even a manatee! Other activities include fishing off our owners dock or off the beach for snook, trout, redfish or tarpon or booking an eco-paddleboard trip out of Don Pedro State Park. Of course, sunsets on the beach are popular, where many islanders and visitors go to toast the end of another perfect day in paradise!
