TRF is over for 2025!

Thank you all for a wonderful season. This year was filled with loss and sadness and we all put on our best smiles. Everyone did great and worked together as a strong team. Checks are being mailed out today, some envelopes contain multiple checks so please open them up. 1099 tax forms will go out early January. If you do not receive anything in the mail withing a week or so, contact here via messenger or email [email protected].

Hope to see everyone next season, start thinking about it now and bring family n friends.

Rain?

Probably but we will just get wet and continue on with a smile! We are pirates after all.

TRF is open, rain or shine.

Forecast keeps changing and it looks like rain Friday night into Saturday morning. Possibly a break during the day and then more wet in the evening.

"Thunderstorms, some locally heavy in the morning will become more isolated late. Potential for severe thunderstorms. High 77F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90%."

We added extra umbrellas everywhere possible and have rain ponchos for those who have no cover.

Sat night will be hot gumbo with chicken and sausage to warm ya up, buttery garlic bread, and salad.

Sunday looks clear. People who pre-bought tickets will have to use them and come out Sunday...

Texas Renaissance Festival starts this Saturday! Huzzah!

Be checked in, ready to go, in costume by 8:30. Give yourself extra time for traffic, parking, etc. 1st weekend is always hectic. We will all do great!

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR PASS, YOU NEED TO GET THAT DONE NOW! ! ! !

Digital ones get approved quickly, if you have the app from previous years, you have to delete it to load the new one. If ya are getting a physical hard pass, be aware it may not be printed till later this week. Anyone without a pass may not be allowed through the gate Sat morning. A receipt email showing you paid may get you in...maybe.

This Saturday morning is the alternate orientation day. If anyone is a new hire and did not come to the orientation day a few weeks back, it is required. Any returning crew that has not completed paperwork are welcome to stop by and get that done.

Welcome everyone! Returning crew and new folks alike.

As we all are gearing up for opening day (Oct 11th), a few reminders to share:

-If you have not got an email about your pass, check your spam folder for something from IdentyONE. If you still do not have something, contact us directly at [email protected] or through facebook messenger so you can get added to the list. Passes are required opening weekend to come to work.

-Everyone is welcome to set up their camps, now. Please don't block the Tomato area behind the Maze, those guys will be sad. Feel free to bring pallets to raise your tent off the ground. There is additional camping across the road by the cabins for our use as well as parking there. Please do not block access to the cabins or porta-potties.

-Costumes! ! ! Many have already got an awesome costume ready to go, some are still working on it. Please contact with any questions before dress rehearsal. We all have to be dressed then.

-The schedule is full but we are still taking applications for extras or backup crew. Thank you all awesome folks for coming back and bringing out great referrals.

-We are having a second orientation day on Sat Sept 27th for new hires and refresher for returning folks. Mandatory for any new crew who did not attend last Sat.

If we have not heard from you directly, there is no guarantee your previous spot will be available.
