Hop into April traditions in Pleasanton and the
Tri-Valley region
Spring arrives in full color with one of our favorite family traditions in Pleasanton. The annual Bunny Hop takes place this 10 a.m. to noon this Saturday, April 4, starting at the Museum on Main.

Families and visitors go off on a downtown scavenger hunt with maps, prizes and photos with the Easter Bunny. It’s a natural way to experience Pleasanton—walkable, welcoming, and easy to enjoy at your own pace. Oh, did we mention live bunnies to meet and visit with? Geared for ages 10 and younger.
If you want to get an early start on the day’s fun, Dublin’s Spring Eggstravaganza starts at 9 a.m. on April 4 and runs to noon. Taking place at Dublin’s Heritage Park & Museums, the event includes timed egg hunts, crafts, and other family-friendly activities. Keep an eye out for the that mischievous character, Peter Rabbit and his friend Flopsy.

Unwind Time: Wine, Music, and a Change of Pace
April in Pleasanton brings plenty of springtime entertainment for the evenings from dancing to mariachi.
At Wood Family Vineyards, line dancing takes place 6:30-9 p.m. with lessons beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesdays in a relaxed atmosphere local scene. Whether you are brand new or already know your way around the dance floor, this is the place to practice your boot-scootin’ boogie moves. Tickets are $6.

For those drawn to live performances, Aida Cuevas takes the stage at the Bankhead Theater on 8-10 p.m. Friday, April 10. Cuevas blends traditional mariachi with a symphonic experience that reaches well beyond genre. The show is geared for all ages, and tickets are available through the Bankhead Theater.
Enjoy a slower-paced social event at Cuda Ridge Wines. The winery is hosting a Wine & Cigar Night on 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16. Pair a curated cigar with a glass of wine in a setting designed for lingering conversations. Tickets are $25-$40 and available on Eventbrite.

A Perfect Weekend, All in One Place
If you are planning a mid-April getaway, Saturday, April 18 offers a snapshot of everything that makes the Tri-Valley special.

Spend the day at the Alameda County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the 8th Annual Tri-Valley Innovation Fair, where hands-on exhibits and interactive experiences invite visitors of all ages to explore, experiment, and discover. More than 70 exhibits will be on display and visitors can meet the scientists, engineers, and creators behind the latest inventions. Free admission but registration requested.

If you lean toward arts rather than science, the Livermore Art Association’s Spring Art Show runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 18 and 19 at the Bothwell Arts. Center. This juried exhibit displays local artists in one of Livermore’s most anticipated annual events.

Then, as evening sets in, settle into the Firehouse Arts Center from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. for a performance by Franc D’Ambrosio. He mixes his repertoire with Broadway classics and jazz, turning the evening into musical pleasure.
Visiting Pleasanton and the surrounding communities means there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the month without feeling rushed. And, between entertainment and events, there are several long-standing Tri-Valley traditions.

Between Plans: The Beauty of Staying a Little Longer
Some of the best moments in Pleasanton happen in between your scheduled events.

April is an ideal time to explore the region’s outdoor spaces—morning walks along scenic trails through Del Valle Regional Park or launch your boat for a day on the water. The park has more than 4,000 acres of land for hiking, horseback riding, and nature study. It also connects the Ohlone Wilderness Trail, a 28-mile trek through the Ohlone Wilderson Regional Preserve.
For those who prefer beverages and treats to the great outdoors, the Tri-Valley offers specialty trails among area coffee shops, restaurants, and cafes:
• Beer Trail
• Caffeine Trail
• Ice Cream Trail
• Arts & Culture Trail
These are the experiences that turn your visit into a personal discovery of your favorite places.

Looking Ahead to May & June Events
As April comes to a close, the calendar begins to hint at what’s next.

Downtown Pleasanton’s Wine Stroll returns 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 2. This annual event brings together local wineries, live music, and a lively Derby-themed atmosphere in the heart of downtown.

In June, Tri-Valley TWIST will debut as a multi-day cultural celebration taking place June 5–7, 2026, showcasing music, food, innovation, and the stories that define the region.

And, a definitive sign that summer is on its way, the Downtown Pleasanton Association is nearly ready to release its Concert in the Park series, running Friday evenings from June 5 to Aug. 28.
