October 2026 Review by guest ~ This was exactly what we needed. One of the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced at a vacation property. The cottage has the distinct feel of a much loved family lake house, which was wonderful. The cottage is situated with a dead on view of Amherst Lake yet it feels isolated, with no neighbors or traffic nearby. The fireplace, the outdoor shower and the fully supplied home made for a perfect vacation. We spent each day bike riding on roads and trails through the back country of Vermont. There was immediate access to trails right out of the driveway. It's hard to articulate the connection we felt through the natural beauty of the area. It was peak Peak PEAK fall foliage! Waking up to that spectacular view every morning made us rethink our relationship with the world. Everything that seemed so important just melted away and all that mattered was the moment we were in.
