Did you know that you don't have to have your own gear or even know how to climb to go to Open Climb? We provide gear and instruction!

Students, community members, staff, and faculty are all welcome to join!

Tonight we will be on the north side of Shadyside of Ross Park for Open Climb from 5pm-dark. Students climb for free and there is a $3 charge for everyone else. Cash or card is accepted.

If you are going camping or floating for Fourth of July, we have all of the gear you need to make it the best Fourth of July weekend ever!

Some of the things we have are:
⛺️ Brand new Big Agnes Bunkhouse tents for 4 people or 6 people. There is room to stand in them and they are featured in this reel!

🌊 Rafts, standup paddle boards, inflatable kayaks, and sit on top kayaks for floating.

🏐 Yards games like 4 square volleyball, co****le, Kuub, bocce ball, ladder ball, and more.

🍳 Tents, sleeping bags, camp stoves, griddles, coolers, cots, and more!

Open Climb will be on the south side of the Shadyside of Ross Park from 5pm - dark!

Open Climb is open to ISU students, faculty, staff, and community members! Gear and instruction are provided.

ISU students climb for free! A day pass is $3 and a season pass is $30. The Open Climb season goes until October!

We have had some new additions to our rental fleet and we have a holiday weekend rental deal! We have new Big Agnes Bunkhouse tents in a 4 person or 6 person size. We also have more yard games like Kuub, Bocce Ball, Co****le, Ladder Ball and more! You can see all the rentals we have to offer at isu.edu/outdoor/rentals/equipment.

ISU and the Outdoor Adventure Center will be closed Friday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth. We have a rental deal for the holiday weekend! Pickup on Thursday and return on Monday for the regular weekend price.

We are exactly 3 months away from the 2026 Pocatello Pump and GSI Outdoors has donated a Glacier Dualist for the prize table!

The Glacier Dualist features a sturdy lid, integrated strainer suitable for open flame heating sources, folding handle, and a unique nesting bowl and mug solution. This would be a great addition to your camp setup while out at the crag!
