Camp Connor Located on Beautiful Lower Range Pond in Poland ME, Open to grades 1-8, Join us for a Summer of Fun! All campers will have the opportunity to swim each day!

Poland Summer Recreation at Camp Connor is now in its 9th year! Camp Connor is a day camp with approximately 12 acres of land, including a beach front, large field, wooded area, picnic area, playground, peninsula, and buildings. We also have access to our neighbor’s (Camp Tall Pines) basketball court and beachfront for launching our kayaks. Camp Connor is located off of route 26, address: 70 Conn

or Lane, Poland, ME 04274. We offer a fun and safe outdoor and waterfront experience for children grades 1-8. The majority of our time will be spent alternating through small group activities, utilizing our recreational field, picnic area, trails, and waterfront. Activities include outdoor life skills, team building, sports and games, arts and crafts, music, kayaking etc. Our themes for each week may offer different and special activities, which may include on-site guests and special activities on Friday afternoon. All campers will have the opportunity to develop connections with same-aged peers and our well-trained and engaged staff, while ensuring proper safety protocols.

CAMP CLOSURE TODAY 7/25

Camp Connor families!

CAMP IS CLOSED TODAY. We are in a severe weather warning and we need campers picked up as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We kept an eye on the weather all weekend and it was a team decision to try it this morning. Our staff is beginning to make phone calls to our families who have already dropped off.

EARLY CLOSURE @ 3PM DUE TO INCOMING STORMS.

Hello Camp Connor families!

We have come to a decision and CAMP IS CLOSING @ 3PM due to the incoming thunderstorms. Please arrange a pickup for your child. If someone will be picking up that is not normally on the pick-up authorization, please send a message over Bloomz to Morgan Brousseau or text Morgan (me) at (207) 212-3963. Thank you!

Our staff are beginning phone calls so please know it is likely we may call a few times as we work through the list all together. Safety is our first priority and we appreciate your understanding!

CAMP WEATHER UPDATE 7/21

Hello Camp Connor families!
It is a hot one today! When the heat and humidity are this high, we follow a specific work to rest ratio protocol that is attached to this post! We try our best to ensure that water games, swimming, and/or cool down activities are being incorporated into every activity period, with lots of water breaks. Today, for most of the day, we are in the "black" zone at moderate work to give you a reference regarding what our morning currently looks like.

Knowing our afternoon calls for severe thunderstorms, we are keeping an eye on the radar to make a decision about an early closure. If we decide to close, our early closure time will be 3pm. This decision will be made by 1pm and parents/guardians will be notified via Bloomz, camp website, page, and we will begin making phone calls. We would appreciate if families can begin making a backup plan for an early pick-up, if in fact this needs to take place.

Again, final decision will be made by 1pm. Until then, we will be hydrating, swimming, and making the most out this hot day at Camp Connor!
