It's RAINING again Mac's Camping Area!!?? PLEASE DO NOT go to your campsite unless you have permission.... we aren't open.....YET!!
Mud season will end soon (before we know it!) and we'll see all your smiling faces again, and it can't come soon enough!!
Everyone is currently working hard behind the scenes to get camp opened up ASAP so you can begin another season and enjoy our beautiful beaches and the kind, welcoming simplicity you've come to enjoy from our family over the past 50+ years...
Every year that goes by and our camp family grows larger, and also gets older, as tends to happen over time, we begin to open up camp for another year, and at this time, we often reflect on the impacts every one of you have had on our family over the past five decades, and we share memories of having an absolute blast with you all. Sometimes, if mother nature cooperates, you join us, and help us get open sooner.
We couldn't express enough how we literally wouldn't be able to sustain our business goals or mission without your help, and we continue to appreciate what you do to make our business visions better every year.
These memories we make have been documented with photos over the years, and the memories we've made stay with us, no matter what happens over our lifetime even if this family doesn't continue to camp with us, physically present with us today, or now only in our hearts, like Ina and Bob or Connie and Andy, who's campsite (where Lakeview has been most recently), or Dan...unfortunately, there are many more we miss every time we think of them and their commitment to our family business...look for updates about our evolving missions at macscampingarea.com.
We can't think about the good ol' days upta camp without the Ricker family and Dottie and Dan coming up in conversation, or Jaime and her family, some of whom grew up with me upta camp.... they will continue impact our business for its lifetime and beyond, no matter how our lives change, the only thing constant in all of our lives is change.
We can grieve the summer changing to winter once fall starts creeping in, but the seasons still change, regardless of if the people you have had the pleasure of once knowing will pass away.
Many of our camp family members already know, especially those that have camped with us for many years, what we mean when we say how much it truely means to share our family's milestones with everyone in our camp family.
For generations of campers like Lucy, Scott, Katie, Alicia, and their own family's they've built over the years, and so many more people, who really understand it takes a village with many kind helping hands, to be successful in business... and life.

Anyone who really knew my grandfather knew he had a heart of gold, even if he couldn't always express it in the way we'd prefer to see, but hey, nobody is perfect right? (HINT: even the only 3 men I've known throughout my life were ever only 99% perfect, Louella, right?) 🤣
Those who know my fabulous family also know we've had a lot of challenges and changes in our own families over the 50 years, and we really try to tailor our business approach to our customer's needs as they also evolve over time.
