Road trips rarely go to plan. Two teachers on a Colorado road trip this summer had to swap rental cars on the way to us and rolled in hours after check in.

No stress. We left detailed instructions so they could let themselves in. They got to see the courtyard all lit up at night, then slept in a clean, comfy room they said they loved decorating-wise. We met them the next morning.

Her review title: "Best Motel on our trip." We'll take it.

A guest named David B. left us a Google review that we still think about. He came for the hiking, easy trail access nearby, and left talking about the water pressure in the shower and the fact that we brought him refreshments at check-in without him asking.

That is the whole idea. Comfortable bed, strong shower, a little hospitality nobody expects anymore. We will keep doing the small stuff so you notice it.
