It is with great sadness I share with our previous guests the news of the passing of my sweet husband Layne. He passed peacefully away in his favorite chair in our motorhome in Arizona on January 9th. It has been very hard for me to finally announce this in public. For all of you who stayed here you all knew how much he loved talking to you. Getting to know each and every guest like they were his best friend was one of his best attributes. I will continue on this summer doing what we had planned and look forward to seeing all of you.

Although we are semi retired. Things still go on at maintaining a home this size. So yea to the new roof.
A big endeavor but totally accomplished.

This year we will tackle another big job. Competing kitchens in 3 of our rooms. Which will allow our guests to stay a little longer and have facilities to prepare meals. This has been a project I have had on the back burner for a few years. Would love your input as to how these kitchens should be outfitted with you as the guest in mind.

We were able to catch a photo of Odie being covered in images if the eclipse coming through our deck.

Since the passing of our sweet little Coco, Odie is not adjusting well. He seems very depressed. We think perhaps we should get him a cat or a dog friend. What is your opinion. Whoever takes her place has to be a greeter and be extremely social? Will be hard to fill her shoes.

Love this place great for when your not really hungry but want something delicious to eat.

Small plates tonight 4 to 10! This is our "trio of crostoni" $1.50/each

•burrata and Madeira braised mushrooms
•smoked oyster aioil, pickled shallot, kalamata
•brie, bacon, & onion marmalade

Such incredible flavor in each bite! Perfect snack with a delicious glass of wine! Also, shrimp and grits with a lemon garlic butter sauce, beef short ribs, corn chowder, and baked oysters! Yum.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our little friend CoCo. She was an important part of our business for many years. A dear little friend who loved everyone who came through our doors. She will be missed but not forgotten.

Winter is finally winding it down. Now to get through the spring rains. We are working to get ready to open again on May 15th. Looking forward to seeing all my guests again. Dont forget to book ahead for holidays and the Lavender Festival. See you soon
