The grounds opened at 9 a.m. Sandfest will continue through Sunday.
The current edition of the South Jetty newspaper contains a SandFest Guide with all the information you need about the festival. The paper is available on news stands all over Port Aransas.
Many copies of the guide also can be found on the grounds of Sandfest.

Wierenga said she "wanted to acknowledge what is happening in the world during a time when so many are sad. This is a subtle way of showing solidarity with Ukraine."
Wierenga's creation is part of the preliminary work taking place on the beach in advance of SandFest, which officially begins on Friday, April 8, and continues to Sunday, April 10.

Sculptors and volunteers are working to get the grounds on the beach ready for SandFest, to take place from Friday to Sunday, April 8 to 10.
