The dogs and I spent a restorative winter at the beach.
And while I was there I did some sprucing including painting the kitchen cabinets, new floor tile in the shower, and new entry way nook built-in.

This is Diane Nagy and I just realized that I forgot to make a posting but I know that my husband does have many friends and followers on this page.

Sadly Jewells Nagy passed away on April 28, 2023 after a long fight with Multiple Myeloma. This picture was our last visit to the beach together in March

If any of you are in Port Aransas this weekend, we are having a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 10th at the Gaff, please feel free to stop by.

Attention ; all my out of town peeps. port a is pi**ed ! No other way to put it. Some touron (cause no local would do this: its a local pride thing) decide to steal the buddies over night. Been on the bollards for years and no one touches them. It takes weeks of work to put together . Probably young, probably drunk definitely stupid and probably went back to wherever they came from with some tale. So please be on the look out for them by side of road / rest area on eBay or FB or wagging about it where ever they went etc cause sure they went someplace out of town. It's going to be one of our good tourist that will help find them. Please repost the jetty article ! Get the word out. Return is no questions asked.

Kathryn Cargo Reporter Fourteen “bollard buddies” were reportedly stolen from their posts at I.B. Magee Jr. Beach Park over the weekend. Bollard Buddies are hand-crocheted and knitted creations that are put on the plain posts at the park. More than 300 of them were installed in late of December....

Good morning all. Customer appreciation continues! Our lowest rates of the year so if you thought about staying with us a just haven't : it's your chance to take a test drive in the best condo in Port A without spending a lot. As an aside: yes - that's Shorties on a trailer. The property lease was up so it was move or be torn down and the awesome owner Edwin just couldn't see Port a without it. So it's being moved to around Allister at Beach street. There's a lot more great shots on the local pages (thank you Steve C for the pic).

Cancellation ! Nov 21 to 27 . Yes, it's going to "only" be 65 and some clouds. But ! Beach will be super to walk with few cars or people, town will be hopping like always and you can decompress on our protected 27' feet of deck to get ready for the final push till New Years.

The rate just dropped ! the rate calculator has been adjusted so avenge about 225 for the time period.

If your worried about Thanksgiving : you all know have a completely outfitted kitchen ; cooked my Thanksgiving in that kitchen three years ago w my family.

If you don't want to cook, almost all the great restaurants in town are doing dinner. I recommend the prime rib at Kodys if your not into turkey.

But, nothing better than seeing pies cooling on the counter with the ocean in the background.

If your the lucky ones to stay: remember the big pots are in the reverse cabinet under the phone and the food processor is in the pantry.

And we just put a new dining table and chairs in it too.

CANCELLATION !!!

All,

We had a last minute cancellation this weekend (October 14 to 16) in our unit 301.

We discounted the price for that last minute stay; can't tell you on line but if you go to the Gulf Shores website, you'll see it's about half the cost of in the summer.

Weather report on channel 6 says : going to be high 80's and sunny.

We had a great visit to the condo: always so relaxing but also busy getting it "ready" for the next few months. Part of it was clean out the "toy chest" on the deck. We stock it with that stuff your kids bug you to buy, or you realize u need for the beach. Plus, our wonderful guest sometimes decide that something just doesn't need to go home. So it gets donated to the box.

Stuff gets broken or lost in the wind and waves so we never know what's in there. But right now; it's pretty full.

Good morning : were doing our quarterly stay and check. To make sure the unit is super !! Perfect for your visit. Had some great comments in our guest book ; thank you if you left use one. Few of favorites were 1) the DeV family of S.A. - "your unit has everything we forgot to bring ; opened some chips, forgot a clip ; forgot baby's dish and spoon - of course your had those. You anticipated everything we would had had to run to town to get, thanks". 2) Kasey - she was here with a group in multiple units. "We all ended up hanging out in yours, cause it was the most comfortable ". 3) The Z's from Comfort - "we were talking and our unit has everything but a full length mirror. Then we closed the bedroom door and there it was all the time" . 4) the Y family and others have made comments that they wish we would have had salt /pepper, washing machine soap etc. Unfortunately: we are not allowed to leave those item in our unit per management. If we could, we would but the only supplies are those on their list . When we do leave them, the staff removes after each visit. Sorry on that one. We do ! Read the book and try to do all the good suggestions you leave us : so keep them coming and see you in the beach.

Good morning from the beach. As you know: we own a unit next door at LaMirage (unit 230). Always neat to look over at Hear the Waves and see our guest enjoying themselves. So if you see people waving at you from the closest unit to beach on GS side second floor ; it's probably us. And if you want to own a piece of paradise: it's for sale (and we just dropped the price some cause internet rates went up so much). Enjoy and see you soon.
