Today I completed an assignment without my mom holding my hand through it. It wasn’t at a large scale, but it was mine. After I loaded everything up in my car I got in, put my hands on the steering wheel, and tears flooded my eyes. This is what makes me happy; This is what I am supposed to be doing. It might be silly to get emotional over a few center pieces, but these pieces were much more than that. They were a start to a new beginning... and I’ve never been more ready!
