Heaps of gratitude to the wonderful performers who have graced The Burlington Hotel Music Hall the last few weeks:
Sioux City Kid on 07.12.14 (Thank you, Jared, Chris, Nicole and Jake for another foot stompin' show of rootsy Americana goodness.)
Special Ghosts and The Bear Flag Trio on 07.18.14 (Thank you Michael Wertz, Andy Cowitt and Isabel Samaras for the punk rock ukes and the gorgeous, one of a kind, handmade and screen printed ghosts! And to you bear cubs who preceded the ghosts: Kathleen and Chris Harvey and Scotty Prawalsky for the turkey twanging and upright bass-ting!)
High Diving Lorettas on 07.20.14 (Thank you Danny Allen, Ari Fellows-Manion and Valerie Esway - and special guests Wil Hendricks, Joe Rut, Chris Shirley and John Shiurba - for a morning of poignant songwriting and rocking good music!)
Deejay Jett and her Shellac Salon on 07.25.14 (Thank you Jett for hanging in and sweating along with the rest of us to the (78rpm) oldies - boy that was one hot summer night!)
The John Brothers Piano Company and Greg Ashley on 07.26.14 (Thank you Greg Ashley, John Morgan, John Thatcher Boomer, Jimi Marks and Arlo Perlstein for the unforgettable evening of dark, piercing lyricism and fine song craftsmanship followed by untethered guerilla jazz.)
We have lots more delicious live shows booked through the end of August including West Coast Ramblers this Friday night (08.01) and a special daytime performance this Saturday (08.02) of acoustic jazz with trio Wendy Fitz, Steve Webber and John Molloy. Next weekend, we have Beshka and the Bolsheviks on Friday night (08.08) and Ivy Junction with special guest Pacific Grass & Electric on Saturday night (08.09). On Friday, 08.15.14, The John Brothers Piano Company return.

I am saddened to report that I lost some of the photos I took at the last few fantastic shows. I do have some that still need sorting, along with one video. As soon as I am able to sort through those photos, I will share them here as I have in the past. The focus right now however, is on my gratitude to all of you crazy talented, wildly creative and prolific, lovely humans for coming out to perform for us, and to the wonderful people, new and old to our Music Hall Series, who keep coming out to hear the music. Thank you to everyone making this magic happen. Hope to see you again soon!
