Notice of the proposal is therefore being provided to the membership on this date and will be posted within the Lodge. The proposal will be voted on at the regular Lodge meeting on September 28, 2026.

Elks Lead Nation in Honoring 9/11 Heroes on 25th Anniversary

Chicago, IL – September 11, 2026 – Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, Elks Lodges across the United States, Puerto Rico, the Philippines and the Panama Canal will come together to remember, honor and never forget.

Through Patriots Day ceremonies and community events, Elks will pay tribute to the nearly 3,000 Americans who lost their lives and honor the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members and ordinary citizens whose courage and sacrifice defined that day.

September 11 brought America together in its darkest hour. Twenty-five years later, the Elks are committed to keeping that spirit of unity, patriotism and service alive.

For more than 157 years, the Elks have served America and its communities. Today, nearly 800,000 members in approximately 1,800 Lodges continue that tradition, contributing more than $553 million in charitable service, goods and volunteer time in 2025 alone.

We remember those we lost. We honor those who served. And we recommit ourselves to serving the communities and country they gave so much to protect. The Elks will never forget.

Port Huron Elks Lodge 343 held our 87th blood drive, on Monday, August 17th as we continue to help us close the gap on blood shortages!

(51) donors arrived to provide the “Gift of Life” as we surpassed our goal of (38). (7) donors were deferred, (37) whole blood pints, and (5 Power reds = 10 pints) were collected, for a total of (47) total units. We had ONE first time donor.

Working together, the Port Huron Elks Lodge 343, and the American Red Cross we have collected over 2,987 units (pints) which equals to over 373 gallons of blood since our 1st drive on January 7, 2013.

We should reach our next goal of 3,000 pints (375 gallons) during our next, our 88th drive which is scheduled for Monday, September 21st, 13 donors have already scheduled appointments, thank you!
