Itβs with full hearts and misty eyes that we announce the sunset of The Fox and Owl Inn Bed & Breakfast. Due to exciting career shifts in late 2024, we know that we cannot continue to serve our visitors with the care and attention each guest deserves.
Words cannot properly describe what an honor it has been to host our communitiesβ friends and family members, getting to know not just our guests but also the folks we are lucky to call neighbors. Just as well, we were energized by the spirit of vacationers looking to explore the north shoreβs rich history, soak up the sun on our sandy landscapes, or simply step out of their ordinary orbits to enjoy this quaint portside village.
Over the past decade, we have delighted in such antics as: coordinating surprise marriage proposals; serving as impromptu witnesses/photographers/DJs for back porch elopements; participating in a spread for Costco magazine; losing hours engrossed in kitchen-table conversations with guests over coffee or wine; diverting from our pet policy after pleas to host day-old chicks or elderly iguanas; β¦ and so, so much more.
It was always our goal to make each guest feel as at home as possible, whether they were traveling to celebrate a marriage, mourn a loss, visit a dear friend, or meet a newly born member of their family.
To have been witness to so many special moments is our greatest honor: each interaction has enriched our lives and left us with a bounty of memories to enjoy as we continue on our own journey.
Thank you all for being a part of The Fox and Owl Innβs story. Though it takes new form, we continue to serve and celebrate our community in this next chapter.
Most humbly,
π¦ Rebecca (newly elected State Assemblywoman), π¦ Andrew (practicing architecture and art), and π Utah (continuing his roles as property groundskeeper and security detail)
