Imagine a single musician, one stage, and a song that builds itself right in front of you.

Atlas Wylde, the Peninsula’s preeminent looping musician, joins us on Oct 23 at 5pm. Layer by layer, he weaves together guitar, bass, vocals, percussion, and synth, all created live and from scratch.

The setlist is yours to shape. Jazz, blues, rock, pop, the 80s, the 90s: name a song and Atlas will build it for you.

Tomorrow (October 11) from 11am to 3pm, our neighbors at Chimacum Corner Farmstand are hosting an apple tasting with Luke Tonnemaker of Tonnemaker Farm. 🍎

Luke will be on-site with more than 18 varieties to sample, a chance to taste your way toward the apples you’ll be snacking on, baking with, and saucing this fall and winter.

We’re proud to share that the Lucyglo apples we used in our cooking class came from Tonnemaker. Meeting the grower behind them feels like a full-circle moment.

While you’re there, wander next door to the Chimacum Farmers Market, one of the last markets of the season. It’s a lovely way to spend a slow autumn afternoon.

This October, we’re traveling to Rioja, Spain, through five wines from Bodegas Ontañón, from crisp whites to a deep, patient Reserva, best enjoyed with good company and no hurry. This fifth-generation, family-owned winery is led by siblings Raquel, Rubén, and María Pérez Cuevas carrying on the work of their father, Gabriel, tending vineyards high in the Sierra de Yerga mountains near the town of Quel.

🎃🐾 Spooky season is officially here! 🐾🎃
We kicked off October with the Canine Costume Parade and Scarecrow Walk, organized by the Port Ludlow Village Council. From pups in their best costumes to scarecrows lining the walk, our community brought the tails and the treats!
A big thank you to everyone who came out and dressed up, and to our very own General Manager, Dan Ratigan, for serving as one of the judges. 🏆

Costumed dogs, handmade scarecrows, and a bake sale beside Ludlow Bay. That's how we're spending Saturday morning.

Tomorrow, the Port Ludlow Village Council hosts its Second Annual Canine Costume Contest along the waterfront, with a new Scarecrow Walk this year. The scarecrows will line the route while the dogs parade past at noon, led by a Grand Marshal.

Stop by from 11 to 1, cast your vote for Best in Crow, and say hello to the shelter representatives on site. The Council's famous bake sale will be there too, along with a pet food drive.

We're closing out Eat Local Month with our final Wednesday Farm Supper, a evening built around the growers and makers who are our neighbors. Their work is on our tables all year, and this is a good moment to thank them.
