With so many vacationers moving their trips to Cape San Blas after being displaced by the hurricane, a lot of them are getting to experience the Cape for the first time!

We've got a beautiful week of sunshine ahead, but the storm definitely left its mark on our beaches and some of our Gulf-front homes. Our beaches and water aren't exactly showing off right now, but one thing's for sure... our sunsets and our locals definitely will! ❤️🌅

So I thought it'd be fun to show everyone what the Cape looks like under better circumstances!

Update post Hurricane Isaias and tropical storm in Cape San Blas.

Good morning from Cape San Blas! It's a new day! The sun came up and we're filled with gratitude this morning with all things considered.

Overall, Gulf Co & CSB faired well through the storm. Bridges remained open and while Cape San Blas road was closed at the rocks for a bit, it has reopened with no significant damage from what I can tell. Most businesses look to be back to normal operation today!

On the Cape, we definitely experienced erosion of our beaches and dunes as expected and several lost their boardwalk steps, parts of foundations and some more significant damages from mostly the typically vulnerable homes that we worry about during each storm. I hope they can bounce back quickly.

The beach is always ebbing and flowing, and the terrain is always changing. It's just part of the deal. Our homes & beaches and boardwalks at both Haven Heights and A Tier Above faired well overall. We're missing some dunes and have debris the but our guests experience will not be impacted.

Time to reset the houses and welcome our new guests coming in today!

North Cape San Blas beach conditions at 5:45.

She's definately angry and throwing around a lot of debris. And I guess this is that 5-7ft storm surge! Praying this is all she's got for us.

Afternoon update on Cape San Blas from Haven Heights. 4:25pm

Wind & Rain continue. Lots of rain. We've got a full pool at A Tier Above with floating loungers and a lot of water in the street.

Current situation on Cape San Blas, just north of the Tradin' Post.

Our Haven Heights guests canceled and our A Tier Above guests are headed home early to get out of the chaos of the storm. The hubs is down there securing the properties.
