Fun Maine fact: every licensed lobsterman has their own unique buoy color design to help identify their gear out on the water. You’ll even see those colors displayed on their boat.

Canopy Portland Waterfront has been proud to invest in the people and organizations that make Portland such a vibrant place to live, work, and create. Through collaborations with local nonprofits, artists, makers, and community leaders, we’ve had the opportunity to support initiatives that celebrate creativity, connection, and the unique spirit of our city.

One of the ways we’ve done this is through our EPIC Grant, created to champion local changemakers and creatives whose work makes a lasting impact on Portland. In partnership with Maine College of Art & Design, the grant supports projects that enrich our community through art and culture.

As we celebrate five years on Portland’s waterfront, we’re grateful for every community partner, artist, guest, and neighbor who has been part of this journey. Here’s to continuing to create meaningful connections and investing in the people who make Portland extraordinary. ✨
