As the seasons begin to change, we have an opportunity to start over, evaluate current circumstances, make plans for the future, and prepare for the following months. It's so important to take time to care for, feed, and connect with yourself. Keeping your balance is important during any time of change, and so if we start getting ready for the coming season now, it is more likely that we will stay on track during the colder, darker months.
Here are our suggestions that you can implement:
- Get Plenty of Rest: Sleep is important to our health and happiness
- Keep it Simple: Don't set goals that are too far out of reach. Realistic benchmarks work the best.
- Get as Much Vitamin D as You Can: We get most Vitamin D from the sun. Vitamin D keeps us strong.
- Nourish Your Body and Soul With Seasonal Foods: Try to eat as many differnt hues of the rainbow as possible every day.
- Keep in Touch With Yourself: When we take the time to connect to the deepest parts of ourselves, our lives reflect that sense of being rooted. Spend an afternoon in nature, sipping tea, doing yoga, or meditating in silence.
- Do Some Sort of Physical Activity Every Day: Pick something you're interested in doing, be it swimming, cycling, yoga, or hitting the trails. If you're having a good time, you'll keep doing it.
