Happy 10th birthday, Ocean House, Peaks Island, LLC !!!

It’s hard to believe that 10 years ago we had just signed the paperwork for a dream come true. We were 10 years younger, 😅 and had watched enough HGTV makeovers 😂 to think that we could just slap some white paint on everything and update some furniture and take Ocean House, which was known as Backshore Paradise at the time, into its next chapter.

Little did we know that the inspection had missed an entire beam in the foundation that had rotted away, and that the upper deck was so rotted that we shouldn’t have probably even been standing on it when we visited lol.

Through lots and lots and lots of elbow grease, and literal blood, sweat and tears, Ocean House Peaks Island has continued to evolve, but has also always remained the relaxing, rejuvenating, beautiful escape that it has been from the start.

Hopefully we’ve helped it be able to continue to be enjoyed for many more years to come!

A very special thanks and shout out to the wonderful Macey Orme, M C Orme whose kindness and incredible carpentry skills helped save and rejuvenate Ocean House from the start; we are forever grateful! 💗

Share with someone who loves a good before-and-after-story, or who has dreamed of a fixer-upper on a Maine island! :) And like and reach out if you would like more information about visiting our updated beautiful getaway! 💙
