HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY to my favorite president and IMO the best president OF ALL TIME, Jimmy Carter.
A lot of people would say that Carter was not a great president, his 100 years is a testament to:
- Living a life of helping others,
- Forging the ONLY lasting peace in the Middle East, between Israel and Egypt…
- the first president to deregulate industry, which was the airline industry…
- Was the only American President to not have a single soldier die on his watch,
- Was the first President to ask his wife to serve in an active role in his administration, as an emissary to the USA and world over various issues, and often credited her with being the brains and political savvy behind his success…
- the first president to call for clean energy replacing the burning of fossil fuels. If we had listened to Carter, then, where would our world be now?
- Formed and chaired the Carter Foundation, the very first organization of its kind to be formed by a former President, whose missions include world-recognized free and fair election monitoring in other countries, assistance to those in need, supporting Habitat for Humanity building homes for low income people and many other charters..:
- Saved hundreds of millions of lives by championing, educating and providing effective, low cost solutions
- and still actively served as a deacon in his church, and taught Sunday School every Sunday his schedule and health allowed.
While many are very critical of Jimmy Carter’s presidency, he was way ahead of his time. He didn’t just preach a life of family, love, tolerance, acceptance, brotherhood among men and that there was only one race (being mankind), and societies obligation to take care of its most vulnerable, HE LIVED IT.
May the world and universe forever revere your name, President Carter. You are a man among men, the husband more men should be, and the kind and honest, loving soul our world needs for leadership.
What I wouldn’t give for you to be a candidate today? Thank you for all you’ve done, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
