The 2026 Best of Texas Guide is out, and we’re so excited to see A-Frame of Mind Texoma featured as a Best of Texas WINNER in the Vacation Rental category!

We shared the exciting news when we first learned we’d won, but there’s something extra special about seeing our little A-frame featured in the guide!

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to discover our property, explore our profile, and vote for us. And, of course, to all of our wonderful guests who have supported us along the way. ❤️

What started as our own little getaway at Lake Texoma has become something we’re so proud to share with others.

We’re so excited to share that A-Frame of Mind Texoma has been named a 2026 Best of Texas Winner in the Vacation Rental category! 🏆🎉🥂

There are regional winners and honorable mentions across the state, so we’re especially excited to have been selected as a Best of Texas Winner in our category!

What makes this one extra special is that people took the time to look through our profile, check out our A-frame, and then cast their vote for us. That means so much!

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has stayed with us, followed along, shared our lake house with friends, and supported us over the past 3+ years.

We love this place and love getting to share it with all of you. Thank you for being part of the A-Frame of Mind family! ✨💕

Did you know you can walk from A-Frame of Mind to Lake Texoma? 🌊🥾

Our cabin backs directly to the Corps of Engineers land surrounding the lake, where you can step out and explore the 10+ acres of woods with trails right behind the house. It’s a 0.1 mile walk to overlook the lake. And then just around the corner, the neighborhood lake access and boat ramp give you an easy spot to launch the 2 kayaks we provide, fish, or set off on your boat to the lake’s islands which are directly outside our cove.

We put together this little map to give you a better idea of how everything connects. The footprints show the approximate hiking paths through the Corps land behind the cabin, while the lake access is just a short 0.3 mile walk or drive away.

🌲 Hiking right behind the cabin
🥾 Wooded trails to explore
🌊 Neighborhood lake access
🛶 Easy kayak launching
🚤 Neighborhood boat ramp & dock

Sometimes a picture makes it so much easier to see why we love this location. 💙

**Map is for general reference only and is not to scale. Trails, shoreline, access points, and other features are approximate and may vary with lake levels and conditions.

Ever wondered what it’s like to stay at A-Frame of Mind Texoma? 🌲🌊

We thought we’d bring the A-frame to life a little differently. ✨

Our fully remodeled 3-bedroom, 2-bath cabin is tucked among the trees on the Texas side of Lake Texoma, with a hot tub, fire pit, foosball, outdoor games, two kayaks, and easy access to the lake.

It’s the kind of place where you can spend the day on the water, soak in the hot tub, gather around the fire, or simply slow down and enjoy being away from it all.
Come take a peek inside and start planning your Lake Texoma getaway. ❤️

🌲✨ Another 5-Star Stay at A-Frame of Mind Texoma! ✨🌊

We absolutely loved hearing from Erin about her vacay! ❤️

“We loved our stay! The place was so cozy (but roomy) and cute. Loved the nature, hikes, backyard and lake. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The decor and cabin was so nice, every detail so cute and everything was labeled! The host was very helpful and super responsive.

You simply can’t beat the back deck and trees!!

The lake is amazing and this location is perfect if you’re taking your boat or seadoos out! Next to a boat ramp and straight out to the sand island which made us feel like we were in our own little world! Definitely put us in an A-Frame of Mind! Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!”

Erin, thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review! 🥰 It means so much to know that you enjoyed not only the cabin, but the peaceful setting and everything that makes Lake Texoma special.

We’re especially glad you made the most of your time on the water and got to experience that little slice of lake life we love so much. 🚤🌊

We’d be thrilled to welcome you back anytime, Erin! Until then, keep your heart in an A-Frame of Mind! 🏡✨

Everyone went back to school. We’re not complaining. 😎🌊 We think it’s the perfect time to book a stay with us to visit Lake Texoma and all it has to offer.

It still feels like summer with the warm temps, sunny days, and perfect water conditions—but there are a whole lot fewer people.

Weekdays and midday are especially hard to beat. Sometimes you really do feel like you have the lake to yourself.

This was the view at Island View Park… a full 180° with not a single person in sight. 👀 (Well, except my favorite fisherman if you look really closely. 😉)

If you’ve been thinking about a little lake escape, September is looking pretty good!! ☀️💦

Proof that Lake Texoma fishing isn’t just for the guys! 🎣 Ladies, grab a rod and get out on the water. You never know what you’ll reel in. Lake days are even better when they end with a great catch! 💙🐟
