Texins Lake Texoma Club This gated community is located just 75 miles north of Dallas and is maintained by a full-time manager and facilities manager on site.

In 1960, 104 acres of land was secured through a lease with the United States Army Corps of Engineers on Lake Texoma’s Preston Point peninsula to establish what is now Texins Lake Texoma Club, Inc. This gated community is located just 75 miles north of Dallas and is maintained by a full-time manager on site. Camping, fishing, boating, spending time with family and friends… the Club has something to offer for everyone!

It was a fantastic Memorial Day weekend!
From the dock party, to the band, to the yummy dinner, to BINGO!
Thank you Deb Waters for the great music for the dock party. It was good to see everyone.
There was a FULL house watching Love Handle Saturday night! I have never seen that many people in the pavilion watching a band, so glad everyone enjoyed them. They love playing at our club. Thanks Tom Form for introducing them to me last year. 🙂
Thank you to Mark Kuneman for smoking the pork for our slider’s Sunday night, and of course everyone who brought sides.
Bingo was also a big hit last night! Lots of great prizes and they are all gone! Special thanks to Dan and Margo Standley for being great MC’s. And to Kim Pulliam and Tori McConnell for helping me with the crazy prize table. I appreciate you!
The next event is July 3rd. I have a a new band coming to the club, TNT and the Smokin’ Horn section. They play at The George and Bloopers in Denison frequently, and just played at the Sherman Food truck competition. I hope you enjoy them.
Then July 4th will be the 4th of July golf cart parade, Patriotic dish contest, followed by pot luck lunch.

A closer look at the details for this weekend
👀:
Friday, Deb’s meet and greet. She will provide the music, you BYO snacks, drinks, good attitude and smile. This will be at the docks at 7:00, ending whenever guests are gone.
Saturday, Love Handle band. They will play at the pavilion from 8:00 - 11:00 pm. Tips are encouraged! We want them to come back.
Sunday, pot luck starts at 6:00 at the pavilion. The club will provide pork sliders and BBQ sauce. Please bring a side dish.
At 8:00, bingo at the pavilion. Dan and Margo Standley are going to MC. This is always a lot of fun. No fee to play, and there are a lot of great prizes this year.  I try to hold this to 1.5 hours.
After we eat, please retrieve your dish as soon as possible so I can set up for bingo.

A fun day of fishing at Texins!
There were 4 teams that were at it early.
First place winners were Brad Reed and Mitch McConnell. The highlight of the day was when Mitch caught a 9.7 lb striper! Their total was 13.7 lbs
Second place was Grayson West and Ashley. Their total was 13.1 lbs
Next year we are going to add a Lil’ Texins fishing tournament off the docks. Of course they will not need to start at 6:00 am. 🙂

Eggcellent Spring Festival for Saturday has been cancelled. 😞
Mother Nature is not cooperating with us. It is supposed to storm all Friday night and Saturday morning, along with a serious cold front.
To those who donated candy, etc., we will use it for Bingo Memorial weekend. We thank you very much.
So the next event will be Brad’s Fishing tournament on May 2nd.
If anyone has a good solution to this, I am all ears
