Eighteen years ago you took your last breath defending our freedom.....PFC Andrew Shields 19, of Battleground, Wash., died May 31, 2008 in Jalalabad City, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 173rd Special Troops Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Bamberg, Germany.

15 years ago, today, SSG Kristofferson B. Lorenzo,
SPC. William S. Blevins, PFC. Andrew M. Krippner and PFC. Thomas C. Allers. died in Nari district, Kunar Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their MRAP with an Improvised Explosive Device. They were assigned to 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team,
25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
