This Sunday at the Prairie FarmStand we’re trying something new… tiny spoon desserts & snack cups that are perfect to enjoy right away (we’ll have mini spoons available!) or take home for later.

NEW this weekend:

🍋 Oma’s Lemon Bites
Bright, creamy lemon goodness topped with buttery crumble and powdered sugar.

🥕 Farmhouse Carrot Cake Cups
Layers of moist carrot cake, cream cheese frosting & crunchy topping in our little 4 oz dessert cups.

🥜 Prairie Power Bites
Our hearty little oat, peanut butter, maple & chocolate bites are back — perfect for the road, the lake, or “just one more.” 😉

And of course… our thick, chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies will be here too — because some things are staples for a reason. 🍪

🍯 We are currently looking for a new honey supplier, but hope to have local honey back soon!

🍁 And more maple syrup is on the way.

🌱 Good Root Growers had LOTS of beautiful plants at the greenhouse this weekend. If you missed them, there's a little taste of everything at the FarmStand. Flowers, trellis vines, onions, herbs, peppers & some AMAZING container-friendly tomato varieties perfect for pots on your deck or patio.

Season opener at the Prairie FarmStand. Cherrie is back from Florida and has been dreaming up some new Prairie FarmStand items. Allen and I get the really tough job of taste testing.

She's brought in a few flats of plants to look at also. We're open Th-F-Sa 9-5p for more plant shopping at the greenhouse.

🌱 Seasonal planting reminder:

This Sunday is our *average* last frost date. But don’t let the weekend warmth fool you. Tomatoes & peppers prefer steady nighttime temps in the 50s and soil temps of 65° before planting outdoors. 🍅🌶️

The good news? Our plants are already well conditioned with strong sun exposure and constant air movement resulting in sturdy stems, healthy roots, and stocky growth. Hardening off for cooler outdoor conditions is the final step. Set them outdoors and bring them in on chilly nights that drop into the 40s for the next week or two.

Meanwhile, plan your trip to Good Root Growers this week. There are *plenty* of crops ready to go in the ground now — herbs, onions, brassicas, leafy greens, peas, root crops & more. Come shop our High Mowing seed collection and browse our veggie & herb varieties:
