Frenchtown Charmer

Frenchtown Charmer 1825 Brick farmhouse restored to its original appearance, kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, The old brick home was built on farmland in or about 1825.

It was nestled among native trees and pines on the Mississippi backwaters. Over the years, the home has changed its appearance and owners - the last being my parents, Earl and Mary LaBonne. After their death, we restored the home to what we believe to be its original appearance. Within the history of the home is the story of Earl, whom many people knew as "The Charmer." A charmer is a person who h

as been given a special power of prayer to heal, combining the cultures of the Indian and French Catholic. Settle on the front porch in Grandpa's rocking chair, paging through the history of a "Charmer" - or let the Mississippi draw you to the back porch swing to enjoy the serenity of the river and the sounds of the calling geese. You will have the amenities of today and the simple pleasures of yesterday.
