Are you a fan of super sour? I will have these freeze dried rhubarb snacks for sale this weekend at the Rochester Farmers Markets ! Believe me, they are intense! Flavored with a bit of strawberry Jell-O but I wouldn't call them sweetened 😁

Oh my! Chicken of the Woods 😍. This will feed us all year! Some will definitely be going into the freeze dryer.

I will be bringing a limited number of medium sized asparagus crowns to the Rochester Farmers Markets on Saturday. These I will sell for 2/$15. These are the Millennium variety. I suspect that you would be able to harvest these next year for a couple of weeks then the following year would be at full production.

Asparagus crowns anyone? We planted a row of Millennium asparagus (2 year old crowns) in 2020, so these crows are now 8 years old and fully producing. We are abandoning this row and I hate to see it go to waste. I have dug a few of the crowns and I feel they will transplant well, but should be put back in the ground very soon so they can fully establish for you to harvest from next year. I'm not splitting the crowns so you will receive the full 8 year old crown. This is a fair amount of work for me but I will dig what I can pre-sell. This is not something that you can normally purchase commercially or from nurseries. You will be able to harvest these next year. Please message me how many you want to purchase and you will be able to pick them up on Saturday at the Rochester Farmers Markets. I will only dig what I have pre-sold. $20/crown.

I bought some spring wool from a friend who has some black and silver Border Leicester sheep. It's a wool soft enough to be next to the skin and I wanted to blend it with my alpaca fiber to spin into yarn. I got it washed yesterday and I am loving this fiber!!!! It's really the softest sheep's wool that I have ever worked with. I am spending the time to brush out every lock of wool and will spin this beautiful silver wool with my silky/satin llama fiber. When people ask, how long does it take you to spin that yarn, there's really no answer when you hand processing fiber. 😊
