The 2026 Schmidt Farm winner of best wool award goes to Brown Sugar! I see lots of felted reindeer coming 😁

The sound is so satisfying 😍. And just look at those black spots that have been hiding all summer! Thank you Quigley for your amazing wool donation again this year. There's definitely some Santa beards in there!

From raw wool to yarn in just 4 hours 😉. If I had to pay myself an hourly wage I'd definitely rethink my career choice 😁. It's the love of the process that keeps me going. I can't wait to see what lovely creation someone makes this into.

Hey fiber enthusiasts! I have a friend who is having her Border Leicester/Icelandic lambs sheared today. Her wool is AMAZING! Located in Lime Springs, IA. She sells for just $25/fleece. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing and I will get you in contact with her.

Wool Smash-Em Coasters. My 3 year old project tester gave me his approval 😁. I will have these available for winter market. (I neglected to get a video of his testing. It was much more entertaining!) Rochester Farmers Markets

It's Halloween creating time! This little princess stand was obviously well loved and had a good life. Now I'm creapifying it! 😲. It's far from finished but I got a good start on it this weekend. It's one of several larger pieces that I will have for sale at Stardust Retro Revival this season.

So many dragonflies in the prairie today! I gave up long ago expecting them to show up in a picture, but believe me, they were there!!!

Do you need some inspiration today? Take a walk along a trail with goldenrod. Stop and look at how diverse the population of bees and other great bugs is on these flowers. You will be amazed at how many different bumble bees you find! Need even more inspiration? Get ahold of a book called "In a Patch of Goldenrod" by the MN author Larry Weber. Afraid of allergies kicking in? Did you know that it's not because of goldenrod? The pollen from goldenrod is too heavy to be an allergen. 😁
