PROCTORVILLE LODGE UPDATE
Stated Meeting Nov. 5, 2020

Nov. 12 – Fellowcraft conferral. Dinner at 6:30, work at 7:30.

Nov. 10 – Meeting of the Planning, Organization, Long Range, & Facilities Committee, Ken Ater, Chairman. 6:00 at the Lodge hall. All are welcome.

Nov. 19 – Fellowship Night at the Lodge. Billiards, card games, dominoes, chess, conversation.

Nov. 30 – Core Committee meeting with the WM. Committee chairs and Vice-Chairs, please attend. 7:30 at the Lodge hall.

Jan. 30, 2021 – Proctorville #550 Inspection, 8:30AM. The state of the Corona virus will determine the conduct of the inspection. A conventional inspection is being planned for, subject to change.

2021 Lodge officers were elected. An installation date will be announced during the December stated meeting.

We received an invitation from Lucasville Masonic Lodge No. 465. They will be conferring the Entered Apprentice Degree Thursday evening, January 23rd at 7:00 pm, with Dinner beginning at 5:30 pm. This will also be Lucasville Masonic Lodge No. 465's Inspection & the Grand Master is scheduled to be in attendance.

OUR 26TH ANNUAL WILD BOAR DEGREE, OUTDOOR MM DEGREE & PIG ROAST is just around the corner! We're been getting the Wild Boars ready and this year may prove to be one of it's best!

The "Wild Boar Degree" (first conferred August 6, 1988) is a FUN degree conferred each year on the 2nd Saturday of August at the Annual Outdoor Master Mason Lodge & Pig Roast hosted by Proctorville Lodge #550 and Ohio Valley Lodge #536. The "Wild Boar Degree" is not an "Official Degree" of Masonry, nor is it intended to replace or supplant any Masonic teachings you've received. The "Wild Boar Degree" is a fun degree within which it's OK to laugh, "horse around", and have a little fun - yet we as Masons know all our rituals and all our Degrees have lessons to teach. The "Wild Boar Degree" is no different in that respect. While we are having a little fun, a good Masonic lesson is slipped in, and we receive a little education! However, the lesson taught in the Wild Board Degree is one we believe to be of lasting importance. In as much, we learn the lessons taught in the parable of the Prodigal Son, and apply these lessons to our Masonic lives.

This Degree is NOT isolated to only Master Masons from Ohio - to receive the "Wild Boar Degree" you simply have to be a Master Mason in good standing from any Lodge IN THE WORLD recognized by the Grand Lodge of Ohio (ie. Book of Lodges Masonic). YOU MUST BE A MASTER MASON TO ATTEND.
