Gifford House is also home to the amazing Gifford House Porchside Bar and Club Purgatory. The Gifford House Inn enjoys a history of more then 150 years in Provincetown. The original hotel was the last stop for the stage coach as early as 1858. For years it served the arrival of three trains a day, and has always been a refuge for the passengers of the many ships that lay in Provincetown Harbor. In

their day, Ulysses S Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft & the Vanderbilt family all chose the Gifford House Inn.

Purgatory opens Friday for a townie night, Saturday to open our underwear season with and Sunday Service!

Join us at Gifford House for Site-Specific Dances’ summer benefit in Provincetown, supporting our ongoing mission to bring world class contemporary dance, new music, and community movement workshops to Provincetown.

Your donation admits you to this special event of pop‑up dance performances, new video installation work, music by DJ William Francis and a complimentary signature cocktail on the Gifford house patio and porch.

We will also be celebrating Site-Specific Dances’ new dance documentary, EROSIONS, that will be the opening special event at the Provincetown Film Festival on June 10th at 4:30pm
