Some recent photos around Gatewood Park and update

While we have recently received some significant rainfall in the last few days, the reservoir still remains about 15' below normal level, but the water level has came up slightly in last 24hrs.

The fishing has been really good from the shoreline or from a kayak in recent weeks, you can still kayak on the reservoir with launching from the shore with a short carry to the water.

Our hiking and biking trails are in excellent condition, thanks to Darrell and Charlie's hard work.

Lastly the campground is open with our hosts Syliva and George working to provide a great camping experience for each guest.

Gatewood is still a special place to camp, hike, bike, fish and relax despite the low water levels

We all look forward to the continued water level improvement with each rainfall event.

At this time the boat launch, docks and boat rentals remain closed due to the water level.

The day use area is open 8am until Sunset daily.

Only 2 days until Gatewood Campground opens for the 2026
The day use area will open also on Friday, April 3rd
The day use area will be open from 8am until Sunset daily
****At this time the boat launch, boat rentals, the docks are closed due to low water levels
****Bank fishing will be allowed on the day use area but not on the docks due to damage from the low water
Once water levels allow we will open these services, watch our social media for updates

Only 10 days until the campground opens for the 2026 camping season on April 3rd. We are getting the campground ready and it's looking great. The reservoir is still down about 8' but the water level is rising.
We expect the Boathouse, Boat Rentals and the Boat Launch to open in mid to late April depending on water levels. Watch our social media posts for updates

Tomorrow is the start of Spring and only 16 days until opening of the campground at Gatewood.
With the recent rains the reservoir continues to refill and we expect The Boathouse with boat rentals, paddlesports rentals and the boat launch to open for the season in mid to late April depending on water levels. Watch this page for updates
