Greetings from The Cozy Moose Cabin! Wow.... what a year!! It’s truly been insane, right? Many people were tired of looking at their four walls and decided to retreat to the mountains to look at the cabin’s four walls instead. 🙂 Our wonderful cleaning lady is following the CDC guidelines for cleaning short term rentals. She is absolutely fantastic! As you know, our cabin can be found on VRBO but they continue to raise their additional fees to our guests so if you can pay via ZELLE or Personal check, you can book directly through us. Please contact us at [email protected] if you want to avoid all those extra fees tacked on by VRBO.

Hello from The Cozy Moose cabin! What a terrible innkeeper I’ve been by not posting in some time. I had shoulder surgery a year ago and Joe’s Mom passed suddenly in July.

Everything at the cabin is wonderful and just waiting for your next visit! Please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions or would like to book some time.

We are a little nervous at The Cozy Moose Cabin this evening with the current path of Hurricane Florence. Seems we might be getting a lot more rain and higher winds. Not a good combination with trees 😞. We hope and pray everyone in the path of Florence stays safe through the weekend.

A lot of good it did putting up the bird spikes to keep them from building a nest. At least they aren’t pooing all over...

Fireplace update: no new fireplace this year 😞 Long story but basically we decided to just fix the one we have and it’s working really well now. We have erosion problems in the back of the cabin so we have decided to address that instead since that’s much more important 🙂. We are, though, considering another upgrade that would be super cool.... Fingers crossed we are able to do this....

The Cozy Moose Cabin is excited to say we are getting a new gas fireplace! This current fireplace (picture below) has finally given up the Ghost but we are okay with this because the new fireplace will be easier to use (wall switches for turning it and the blower on!), the flame will be larger and there will be burning embers for a more realistic look. Unfortunately, the stone has to be removed and the replaced so this this entire replacement process will take about three weeks. The process begins next week and we can’t wait to post the new photos after everything is done!!! :-)
