Here is another curious creature on the back patio at AB Lodging, downtown Put-in-Bay. My sister thinks it’s a baby thrush. I call it the Rod Stewart bird because it looks like he spent a while in the mirror teasing his Aquanet!

Along the way to a little getaway in Hocking Hills, I saw this second floor window that to me is reminiscent of the painting American Gothic. I always thought the fancy window on a rather unadorned home was Victorian, but it may be gothic. Is that how the painting was named?
