♥️♣️♦️♠️We took a chance on a new theme weekend at Tohickon Family Campground, and we really hit the JACKPOT! Our campers were ALL-IN for our very first Casino Campout. 🎲🎲🎲🎲

The Poker Run was a huge success! Our hosts totally brought their game and the players cashed in on snacks, beverages, and getting to meet and socialize with their fellow campers.

Our campground kiddos had a blast trying their luck with fun casino themed games during the day, and our adult campers enjoyed hanging out and playing blackjack and Texas Hold’em at night. Casino Campout is definitely a theme we'll be keeping for next year! We all can't wait to play again!

🌟 It's time for another Tohickon Camper Spotlight⛺

This month we’re excited to introduce you to the Przybylowski family, new seasonal campers at Tohickon Family Campground, but their history at Tohickon goes way back! Check out their answers to our questions below and be sure to say hello to Nicholas, Kathleen, Kelly, and Hailey when you see them around the campground!

Q: How long have you been camping at Tohickon Campground?
🌜 Nightly: As a family we started camping here 4 years ago.
📅 Monthly: Last year we stayed the month of August
🌷☀️🍂 Seasonally: This is our first year being seasonal campers and we are so excited for years to come!

Q: What is your favorite camping activity when at Tohickon Campground?
👲 Nicholas: Hanging out at the campground
👩 Kathleen: Bingo or the other many scheduled activities each weekend
👱‍♀️ Kelly: Riding our bikes around the campground
👸 Hailey: Hanging out with our friends every weekend

Q: Which amenities do you enjoy the most at Tohickon Campground?
👲 Nicholas: The Cafe (not having to cook every meal)
👩 Kathleen: Camp store for when I forget an ingredient or want to get a special gift
👱‍♀️ Kelly: Pool and fishing
👸 Hailey: Pool and playground

Q: What is your favorite camping snack or meal?
👲 Nicholas: Pancakes on the Blackstone
👩 Kathleen: S’mores or cheesesteaks on the flat top

Q: What camping gear/tool would you not leave home without?
👲 Nicholas: The TRAILER

Q: Is there something you’d like to see added to Tohickon Campground (activity, event, theme weekend, amenity, etc.)
👲 Nicholas: Longer cafe hours on Sundays (or at least lunch... so I don't have to cook :)
👩 Kathleen: Movie night on the back of the barn while in the pool on rafts
👱‍♀️ Kelly: Horseback riding
👸 Hailey: Volleyball net in the pool that can be used with a beach ball

Q: What is your favorite camping memory?
👲 Nicholas: Christmas in July and the decorations and special memories of the kids spending time with Santa (and Mrs. Clause) in the summer
👩 Kathleen: My parents taking me as a child for our first ever camping trip to Tohickon and then being able to do the same and now as a seasonal with my own daughters and husband
👱‍♀️ Kelly: Staying up way past my bedtime
👸 Hailey: Watermelon weekend and all the activities (except I hate Jello - not that part)

Q: What is your favorite thing about camping in general?
👲 Nicholas: Peaceful cool nights by the campfire
👩 Kathleen: Slowing down, enjoying our time as a family, and disconnecting from phones, tablets, computers, and the internet!

👸 Hailey: Riding my bike with our friends

Hi everyone,
We just wanted to give an update on the pool. Work has been underway to improve the pool deck area and unfortunately the construction and clean-up has taken a little longer than expected. Improvements will continue where needed, but at this time the hope is to have the pool open by Saturday 5/30. Thank you for your patience and understanding as improvements continue to enhance the campground experience for everyone.

We have two exciting adult activities planned for our campers this weekend!

♠️ Poker Run (21+) on Saturday, 5/30 at 5:00pm:
Not only will you get to enjoy some incredible snacks and beverages that our site hosts are excitedly preparing for you, a cash prize will also be awarded to the player with the best poker hand. Check out the Facebook post that went out on Monday for more details about this super-exciting new activity! Cost is $5 cash per player.

♦️ Casino Night (18+) on Saturday, 5/30 at 9:00pm:
Join us for some post poker-run fun and casino games. There's no cash prize for this one, but we will be giving out some great non-cash prizes. BYO beverages and snacks and come hang out with your fellow campers.
* Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament ($5 per player)

Our Memorial Day weekend activities looked a little different this year because of the cold & rainy weather, but our incredible campers didn’t let that drown out their fun! From arts & crafts to tie-dye and trivia, and lots of time spent inside the barn instead of outside, our holiday weekend campers kept their sunny spirits up and enjoyed making lots of camping memories!

Our Poker Run Hosts are excitedly planning for Tohickon's very first poker run this Saturday, 5/30 at 5pm! Please help us let them know how many snacks/beverages they should be preparing for our players by commenting below to let us know if you're planning to play.

This activity is for our campers who are 21 and older.

Have no idea what a Poker Run is... Here are the details:

Cost: $5/player (prize money will be split between the player with the best hand and the best host as voted by the players)

How to Play:
♠️ Players will register/pay in the barn and receive a map with host locations, score sheet, and rules. (Players must be 21 or older for this activity.)
♦️ Each host will deal one card to each player and will mark that card on the player's score sheet. (If the card dealt is a duplicate of what is already in the player's hand, the host will deal them a different card.)
♣️ Hosts will also be providing snacks and beverages. The players will be voting on the best host based on food, drinks, decorations, theme, etc.
♥️ After players have visited each host and had their card added to their score sheet, they will return to the barn with their score card and will have the option to "return" one card and be dealt one wild card from the deck at the registration table.
♠️ The players will then turn in their score sheets (which will include their "poker hand" and their votes/ratings for the best host) to the registration table in the barn.
♦️ Prize money will be split between the player with the best poker hand and with the best host as voted by the players.
