Sneak Peak! Hi guys, just wanted to share some of what we have been working on here at Whitehaven. We are developing a new Music & Arts Parlor! The new space will be available to guests to use as they like, we have been collecting musical instruments (in case you forget to bring yours) and we will have art supplies on hand for sculpting (we just got a kiln!), and painting, among others. We will also be installing a movie projector/screen for movie nights, complete with old-timey movie popcorn machine. The space will be available to guests and locals for art classes, knitting classes, music shows, jam sessions, game clubs, book clubs...... and another hangout space for our guests.
Anyway, we are right in the middle of putting the room together (Stephanie just finished painting the floor), but wanted to share with the group what we have coming up for them. Several of the instruments for the space have been donated to us by the local community happy to have their family heirlooms go to a good place. We will keep everyone posted as the space develops, but it is already available in its current work-in-progress form if you want to come in and play - the acoustics are great!

Another great dinner! This one was a birthday dinner for some really cool guests! Stephanie made this amazing lemon cake with lemon buttercream icing, so lemony (see photo)!
They requested barbecue, so we did Brisket & Ribs made with our own rub and barbecue sauce and slow cooked all day, Creamed Corn (the local sweet corn is amazing right now!), Homemade Pickles, Red Slaw, Truffle Eggs and Yeast Rolls.
As always, everything was either from our gardens here or those of our neighbors and everything was made by our own hands.
For those of you who would like dinner with your upcoming stay, we have just updated our website to include menu options and pricing tiers for you to click on and add to your reservation when booking your stay.
Either way, you can always reach out to us to coordinate your own customized menu at: (410) 476-7119 😊
