During the winter months, Quartzsite, Arizona, becomes a haven for "Snowbirds" from the colder climates throughout the US and Canada. Warm days and mild evenings have made this desert area of Southern Arizona the "RV Mecca" for our nomadic winter guests. According to the Arizona Highway department, as many as 750,00 to 1,000,000 people, mostly in RV's , converge on this sleepy little desert town,
located just 20 miles east of the California border on Interstate 10, for the rock and gem shows and numerous flea markets. This phenomenon started over 40 years ago and is now billed as "THE Largest Gathering Of RVers in the World." People come in droves, filling over 70 local RV parks and parking their RV's anywhere they can find an unoccupied piece of sand for miles in every direction. tent for the show, it is by FAR the largest structure in town. The “BIG TENT”as it is referred to by the locals and returning RVers, can be seen from miles away. Adjacent to the southern and western boundaries of our land is the Bureau of Land Management's La Posa Recreation area where 10,000-20,000 RV's dry camp each year during the show. On our Northern Boundary is the Tyson Wells show grounds, Quartzsite's most popular rock show and flea market. On our eastern boundary is a major campground plus an additional 80 acre dry camp ground that hold another 1500-2000 Rvs. Location, location, location!!! There is no charge for admission or parking to this spectacular event. With over 400 exhibits inside, and around, the 70,000 sq. ft, fully carpeted structure that includes the "who's who" of the RV industry.
