113 Yantis area residents turned out Tuesday night to hear from 9 Wood County political candidates ask for their vote. The Community Center was Standing Room Only for more than 3 hours while citizens listened intently to the candidates' platform and vision for the County. The forum, one of twelve similar events countywide, featured incumbents and challengers for the Court of the 402nd District Judge, Pct. One County Commissioner, and Wood County Sheriff.

Voting begins with early balloting on Feb. 18 and election day is March 3. More details and election coverage will be in the next edition of The Chronicle.

The event was hosted by the Lake Fork Area Chamber of Commerce, The City of Yantis, and The Community Chronicle.
