This is an annual family festt unlike any other hosted at Lakeside Retreats NC.

This is a FREE full day of community, connection, creativity, presence, exploration and unplugged fun for the whole family with optional overnight camping.

Community makes Family Fest possible. 💛

Thank you to Ashlee & Chick-fil-A Village District for donating sandwiches to feed our volunteers lunch at Family Fest! 🐔

It truly takes a village to bring the magic to life, and we are so grateful for the businesses and people showing up to support this day.

If you have not volunteered yet, we would love to have you. We are asking for 4-hour shifts, and we can provide community service hours documentation for students and civic groups.

Fresh lemonade is coming to Family Fest! 🍋✨

We are so excited to welcome Dolly's Freshly Squeezed Lemonade & Specialty Drinks to Family Fest this year!

They’ll be serving up fresh-squeezed lemonade and delicious flavored frozen treats, perfect for cooling off while you enjoy a full day of family fun, activities, music, food, and community.

When you arrive, look for the big green inflatable lemonade stand, you’ll know exactly where to find them! 💚🍋

Bring the family, grab something refreshing, and enjoy the day with us.

Have you been to a Raleigh drum circle? 🥁

If you have, you already know.
And if you haven’t, you are in for a treat.

We’re excited to welcome One Tribe, the group behind the Raleigh drum circles, to Family Fest for a drum circle at the stage on the lake.

Don’t have a drum? That’s okay, we’ll have extras available! And families can also make their own shakers and drums during a fun tent arts and craft activity.

Come feel the rhythm, join the circle, and experience the joy of community.

Can your kid solve the cube? 🧩😊

At Family Fest, they’ll get the chance to try!
We’re excited to welcome Jim from IG for a hands-on Rubix Cube experience that is part challenge, part fun, and part “wait… I actually figured this out?!”

Kids will receive a free cube, learn Jim’s simple 5-step method, and practice focus, problem-solving, confidence, and grit along the way.

Because sometimes confidence looks like:
🧩 twisting the wrong way
😂 laughing through it
💪 trying again
🎉 and finally saying, “I got it!”

Kayaks at Family Fest?! YES! 🚣‍♀️✨

We’re excited to welcome Xplore Kayak to Family Fest this year. They’ll have kayaks available to rent so families can enjoy even more water activities and lake fun during the event.

Family Fest admission is free, and kayak rentals will be available on site.

We are over the moon🌙 excited to announce that Dr. Kristen Wynns aka as Kiki the comedian will be joining us at Family Fest this year!

Dr. Wynns brings such a beautiful blend of psychology, parenting support, real-life tools, and humor, and we cannot wait for families to experience her Humor Heals presentation.

Since 2007, Dr. Kristen Wynns has served families across North Carolina as the founder and president of Wynns Family Psychology, an award-winning psychology practice with locations in Cary, North Raleigh, Greensboro, and Fuquay-Varina. WFP specializes in kids, teens, and families offering therapy, psychological evaluations, parent coaching, and forensic services.

Did you know there is an 8-acre lake tucked away at Lakeside Retreats? 🌊✨

With all the beauty and fun that comes with being near the water, safety always comes first - especially when families and kids are involved.

We’re so excited to welcome Raleigh Swim School to Family Fest for a special water safety presentation! Their heart for teaching water safety first makes them such a perfect partner for this event.

And… we have a “surprise announcement coming soon” about water activities at Family Fest. 👀💦

Families are invited to enjoy a full day of connection, creativity, outdoor activities, food, entertainment, community resources, and optional overnight camping.
