Who doesn't love a fun day fishing. Make sure you bring your kiddos out!

🎣 It’s almost time! Grab your gear and get ready for the 2026 Rio Blanco Water Conservancy District Fishing Derby!

In partnership with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, we are bringing you a weekend full of outdoor fun, completely in sync with Colorado’s FREE Fishing Weekend (meaning no fishing licenses are required!).

Best of all? The derby isn’t limited to one spot—it covers all fishing resources across western Rio Blanco County within district boundaries! 🌊

Here is the lineup for the weekend:

🏕️ FREE Boating & Camping
Enjoy complimentary camping and boating at Kenney Reservoir all weekend long, kicking off Friday, June 5th.

🐟 2-Day District-Wide Fishing Derby
Cast your lines anywhere within the district boundaries on Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th.

🧒 Youth Fishing Derby
Happening Saturday, June 6th with fantastic prizes generously provided by our sponsors!

🎯 Family Games & Extra Prizes
Stick around after the awards ceremony for fun, interactive games and even more chances to win.

Whether you're teaching the kids to fish for the first time or looking to land a big one yourself, this is the perfect weekend to get outside. See you on the water!
