BUY YOUR FISHING DERBY TICKET NOW!! Tickets are $10 each. All ticket holders will have the opportunity to win any of the three GRAND PRIZES. The "Specially Tagged Fish" prizes are for the ticket holders that catch tagged fish. A ticket must be purchased before and presented when turning in a tagged fish. A ticket can be purchased from the office of Robert L. Mantz, CPA (128 S. 2nd St.), Raton Adventure Centre (216 S 1st St), and the Sugarite Canyon Visitor Center. A HUGE thank you to the Raton Adventure Centre, Friends of Sugarite, and Sugarite Canyon State Park Staff for their help in getting another annual fishing derby kickstarted!

Another great Main Street event in the books. Downtown Raton was swarmed with trick or treaters. We had so much fun giving out treats. My favorite costume was the cutest little piñata !!

Passion project. Built in 1906 by Adolf Coors during prohibition, Coors was able to keep the beer flowing along the railroad lines. Since then it has seen many uses; bars, lodging, ladies…offices, museum etc. We are breathing life back into this old beauty, and back into First street. First floor is already open. The Raton Adventure Centre is being stocked and Hogue Leather is in full swing. The Kangaroo Kitchen Is prepared to open when some additional renovations are done, And…Upstairs we are laboring away on a remodel creating our own Hostel style lodging for adventurers. The Raton Bunkhouse will be a place to jump off the train, stash your stuff and hit the trails.
