Our Story
Quietly tucked away in the small town of Red Lion, Pennsylvania, the Red Lion Bed and Breakfast is a cozy and inviting retreat. Shaded by swaying hemlocks and blue spruce, this early 1900's brick home welcomes all who pass by it. The business traveler and vacationer alike can appreciate the convenient location as well as the relaxing atmosphere. We sit 9 miles Southeast of York and 30 miles West of Lancaster. Hershey, Gettysburg, Harrisburg and the Inner Harbor of Baltimore are all just 45 minutes away.
A full breakfast is served between 7:30am and 9:30am on the garden terrace, if weather permits, or in the great room. The garden terrace is a quiet and peaceful spot to enjoy breakfast. Blue Spruce, Helmock, Birch and Dogwood trees provide a border with landscaped gardens that share their color. The great room was designed by the original owner in the 1920's for hosting guests and boasts high ceilings, built-in book shelves spanning one wall, wide bright windows and a fire place.
Each uniquely decorated guest room at the Red Lion Bed & Breakfast features free Wi-Fi Internet access and a TV with Cable. Guests can relax by the fireplace, play a variety of board games, peruse the book library, enjoy the gardens and the local park located one block away. A microwave and refrigerator in the common areas are available for guest use. Allegro Winery and Naylor Wine Cellars are 10 miles from the B&B. Four other wineries from the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail are also located 10 miles or less from the B&B. The York Expo Center is located 25 minutes from the B&B.
