Every year, Red River hosts one of Northern New Mexico’s most beloved Fourth of July celebrations. The festivities begin with the annual Independence Day Parade, which travels through downtown Red River and showcases decorated floats, local businesses, community organizations, classic vehicles, equestrian groups, and plenty of patriotic spirit. The 2026 celebration theme is "America the Beautiful," commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Following the parade, visitors can enjoy family-friendly activities throughout town, including games, entertainment, food vendors, live music, and community gatherings that make Red River such a treasured destination. Many activities are centered around Brandenburg Park, creating a festive atmosphere for visitors of all ages.
