This weekend is the Free on hill weekend where riders can ride the County trails for free. Come up and spend a night or two at Old Lard’s and enjoy the trails.

I took ole Checkers for a woods walk yesterday, and we found this orchid, it is always a good day when you see something you have never seen before! This is a Greater purple fringed Orchid it is native to the US and Canada can be found from Michigan to Maine and to the south as far as Georgia. , # nature

An old friend of our family offered to take the family out for a sunset cruise on his pontoon boat. Don Cameron is an exception to my grandfather's rule. The truth that my grandfather came up with was that when customers of the B&B decided to make Osceola their residence they only last for give or take, 3 years. Don has been here for many years now and lives just up the road in the old school house, my Grandfather schooled in. So tonight we met Don at the boat launch in Redfield about 7 pm and headed out on our cruise down memory lake. As younger people my mother, myself, and my sister and the rest of the Clemens clan spent plenty of summer days in my grandparent's boat (the Alice-May), water skiing on the Redfield Reservoir. So with this background off we go on a sunset cruise with Don Cameron.
