Welcome to the Sunview! We’re glad you made it. Most information is also on the HomeAway site.
1. Sand. Please make use of the boardwalk showers, the house hoses- one on driveway, one on the opposite side of house, and the house outdoor showers. Please do not wash sandy children in the bathrooms.
2. Flies. Please keep the screen doors closed (both the porch door and the sliding screen doors) to prevent invasion. There should be fly swatters above fridge. Delaware flies bite.
3. AC. Please enjoy either the cool ocean breezes or the AC, not both. Please do not set thermostat below 70. It will freeze up and cease to function. After a long drive and bringing your luggage in, you’re going to feel hot. A dozen folks coming in and out, in and out, often not closing the door, will raise the the temperature of the house briefly. Closing the doors will really help the AC. Enjoy a glass of water or an adult beverage to get your vacation started.
4. Fridge. Please allow the fridge to accommodate your fresh warm groceries. It will work fine. Please do not change the the setting to the coldest to offset your full fridge of fresh groceries.
5. WiFi. Code On the router.
6. TV’s. Please do not change the inputs. Please make sure the TV works when you leave and report any issues. Most common issue is someone changed the channel on the TV, rather than the cable setting, or changed the input. Please do not disconnect any wires. Send your gamers to Funland.
7. Trash. Monday’s and Thursdays are pick up days. For your convenience, we have a valet service that will move the cans the night before and after. Please allow room for the cans to pass in the driveway. Near the chimney can get tight. Please remove all trash from house when you check out at 10AM.
8. Parking. The driveway holds three full size cars. Do not block the sidewalk, as parking enforcement is high. There is one reserved spot on the street. While the meters are now electronic, the other spots on Delaware are meters. The passes don’t work on the meters.
9. Maintenance. If anything is not working, or leaking, please let us immediately and we will address.
10. To minimize driving, we recommend Sammy’s Market for food shopping and Penny Lane Liquor for adult beverages. Cafe Papillion is great for breakfast. Green Turtle has nice food and great ocean views.
11. Room selection. Blue print is on the site.
12. Washing machine uses HE (high efficiency) soap only. Regular soap will cause flooding.
13. Dishes. Please use only automatic dishwasher soap and start machines when you check out. Hand soap will cause flooding. The button to right of the sink turns on disposal. Bottle caps and bones are beyond its operating parameters.
