Located just three miles from the hustle and bustle of town, The Homestead Bed & Breakfast at Rehoboth Beach sits on two acres of beautifully landscaped property. We are a pet friendly and adults only inn. Choose from four beautifully decorated guest rooms in the main house all with private bathrooms or our spacious 800 square foot private cottage featuring a large fenced-in backyard. Guests enjoy

a full breakfast in our dining room including the hot entree of the day, homemade breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, gourmet coffee and additional continental fare. All of our rooms and the Cottage have a refrigerator, HD TV's, DVD player, hair dryer, and personal climate control settings. Additional amenities include a wrap-around screened in porch, free WI-FI, an expansive DVD selection, books to borrow from our library, a large selection of games, ice maker, bottled water, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach towels, free parking, and an outdoor shower for use after a day at the beach.

There are a few things you should know before visiting Rehoboth Beach in the fall… 👀🍂

First, remember this date: September 16.

That’s when Rehoboth really starts to feel like the local off-season.

Parking meters are done for the season, residential parking permits are no longer required, dogs are allowed back on the beach and Boardwalk, and bikes are allowed back on the Boardwalk too. 🐾🚲

It’s one of the best times to experience Rehoboth like a local. The crowds start to thin out, it’s easier to park, and getting into your favorite restaurants becomes a whole lot less competitive.

And don’t skip Cape Henlopen. Fall gives you access to parts of the park that are closed during nesting season, including The Point… one of the prettiest spots along the Delaware coast.

Another local tip? Don’t assume every fall weekend will be quiet. Big events like Sea Witch can make downtown feel busy all over again. If you want the peaceful version of Rehoboth, come midweek or plan around the major festival weekends.

And keep an eye out for off-season restaurant specials. Once summer winds down, a lot of local spots roll out happy hours, weekly deals and seasonal menus… and it’s much easier to get a table.

Fall isn’t really the end of beach season around here.

This might be the best time to visit Rehoboth Beach. 🍂🌊

Free parking. Less traffic. Smaller crowds. Less crowded beaches and bike trails.

Starting September 16th, dogs are also welcome back on the Rehoboth Beach and Boardwalk for the off-season. 🐾

Then there are some of the area’s most anticipated events of the year… the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival, Sea Witch, the Independent Film Festival, and Dewey’s Golden Jubilee, when hundreds of golden retrievers take over the beach for the annual Golden Beach Romp. 🐕🌊

Add in cooler weather and restaurants still buzzing downtown, and it’s easy to see why locals love this time of year.

Summer gets the attention. Fall might be Rehoboth Beach’s real hidden gem. 📍
