🔨 LOOKING FOR SOMEONE READY TO DO THE JOB — LAKE STRIKER RESORT

Our contractor bailed on us, so this may be an opportunity for someone else to show us what they can do.

We need someone to come out to Lake Striker Resort, look at the project, and give us ONE labor-only price to complete the entire job of building a lean-to connecting our restaurant to our BBQ pit/trailer.

We are NOT looking for an hourly rate.
We already have the materials.
We want a quote for the labor to complete the job from start to finish.

And this isn’t necessarily a one-time opportunity. We have several other projects around the resort that need to be completed, so we’re hoping to find someone reliable that we can continue working with.

If you’re interested, message us to arrange a time to come look at the project and provide your quote.

🏐 HELP US BRING VOLLEYBALL BACK TO LAKE STRIKER! 🌊

Some of you may remember when the volleyball courts at Lake Striker were full of people playing, laughing, and competing. We want to bring that back!

We’re getting ready to restore the courts by clearing and tilling the area, putting down w**d barrier, and bringing in fresh sand.

🚜 COMMUNITY HELP NEEDED:
Does anyone have a tiller or tractor tiller attachment that we could borrow/use to help get the courts ready? If you have one—or know somebody who does—tag them or send us a message!

The goal is bigger than just restoring the courts. We want pickup games, community competitions, tournaments, and more reasons to spend the day at the lake. 🏐☀️

And speaking of spending the day at the lake…

🥵 REMINDER: If the temperature hits OVER 100°, ENTRY TO LAKE STRIKER IS FREE!

If Mother Nature is going to turn East Texas into an oven, the least we can do is let y’all come enjoy the lake. 😂🌊

Now that the plan is out and we’re working towards it please keep the suggestions coming!

We’ve already seen a request for boudin, free wifi, and for high school employment. We can’t promise to do everything but your input will help drive the direction.

Without you, there’s no us.

We will share more information as a date approaches, but until then send us positive thoughts and keep us in your prayers.

We fully anticipate this place to be bustling very soon so for those looking to make this a long-term home, there’s no time like the present.

👀 You’ve Been Asking… So Here’s a Little Look at What’s Coming to Lake Striker!

We’ve heard the questions: “What are y’all doing with the restaurant?”

Well… the restaurant as you knew it isn’t coming back. We’re transforming the space into something we think fits Lake Striker even better:

🛒 Lake Striker Country Store & Deli

Think camp store + convenience store + GOOD FOOD. Not a traditional sit-down restaurant, but a place where you can grab what you need, grab something delicious to eat, and get back to enjoying the lake.

We’ve been heavily inspired by 3J’s Fourway in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Their team has visited us several times, shared what they’ve learned, and helped advise us on how we can build an experience that works for our guests AND the surrounding community.

Our plans include rotating homestyle lunch specials, fresh fried fish, BBQ, fried ribs, grab-and-go foods, deli/lunch-meat items, coffee, cold drinks, snacks, groceries, ice and plenty more as we grow.

And yes — we still plan on serving fresh fish! 🐟

🔥 BBQ will have its own special place in what we’re building, too.

You’re also going to notice a LOT of changes inside the old restaurant over the coming weeks. New shelving, coolers, displays, a coffee area and an entirely different layout are all part of the plan.

👩🏽‍🍳 WE’LL BE HIRING!

We will be looking for:

Cooks • Cashiers / Store Associates

Pay will depend on experience.

More importantly, we’re looking for people who want to work, show up, are presentable, treat people well and want to help us grow something. Experience is great. Attitude, reliability and effort matter too.

There is still plenty of work ahead of us, but we wanted to finally give everybody who has been asking a little peek behind the curtain.

The next time you walk into what used to be the restaurant… don’t be surprised if it looks completely different. 👀
