Vacation homes like this don't come around very often. The Lady Slipper Lodge is located in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest in north cental Minnesota just 3 1/2 hours north of the Twin Cities. It offers privacy and serenity on a 30-acre woodsy point between a 54' deep 80-acre lake and a 25' deep 60-acre lake. The Lodge is just 90'

from the the lakes on both sides of the point and there is a lake view out of every window. The Lodge is the only home on one of the two lakes and it shares the other lake with only one other lake home. All the rest of the land all around both lakes is National Park, state or county land.

It's lady slipper time at the Lady Slipper Lodge. The yellows are blooming now and the showy pink and white lady slippers will bloom in a few weeks.

If you are considering renting a vacation home, you can go through VRBO or HomeAway or contact me directly. If you go through VRBO/HomeAway:

1. You will be charged about a 10% "booking fee" over and above the rental amount.
2. You will not be given my name, phone number or email address until after you book the home.
3. And you will be forced to use the pre-determined VRBO payment system.

1. You will not be charged the extra VRBO 10% fee.

Muscrats 0. Thanks to the much needed engineering skill of my good friend Gary, we were able to reattach the last two sections of dock today after the muskrat holes were patched. Guess which one of us stayed dry and which one spent 4 hours in the lake.
