We are seeking a candidate to fill the controller position at Ferche Millwork in Rice, MN. The controller at Ferche Millwork is responsible for managing the financial reporting system and day-to-day financial operations i.e. invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, etc. The controller develops the annual budget, acts as point with the corporate audit firm and leads the annual fiscal inventory. Duties also include overseeing IT and various aspects of human resources. Three positions report to the controller based in the Rice, MN office. Ferche Millwork is a subsidiary of The Hoffmann Family of Companies based in Naples, FL.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and financial accounting practices. SUMMARY:
Responsible for the proper bundling of and to accurately fill customer orders and prepare them for shipment and /or stock. To perform any and all other duties as requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Stack mouldings and species according to specified quantity per bundle.

Determine if bundle will be wrapped or taped, required cardboard and appropriate spacers to insert between layers.

Bundle stack, place on pallet, and stage for movement to shipping.

Perform product grading functions, grading the quality of finished products, inspecting for machining, color, knots, cracks, and other defects unacceptable to product standards.

Rework defective mouldings which may include putty and sanding.

May use banding machine when required for specific orders.

Responsible and accountable for tally accuracy and unit to bundle counts.

Responsible for adjusting inventories of raw materials used to maintain inventory accuracy.

Ability to use computers, scanner, and printers; and reads and follows outlined production schedules.

Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Reports any unsafe conditions to department supervisor.

May train new employees on quality control procedures, work procedures and methods.

Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Knowledgeable of basic computer functions, scanners and printers.

Ability to read and follow production schedules.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Operates moulding equipment, maintains production records and communications associated with activities of equipment, product and customers specifications. Assumes responsibility of the moulder, its mechanical condition and safe operation, performance in product quality and production output. Responsible for housekeeping, proper material utilization, employee relationships and support company goals.

DUTIES:
Reads work order to determine profile type to determine machine setup procedures and type of wood stock to be cut.
Selects and installs cutting heads and all related tooling on machine according to pattern to be run.
Runs wood stock through moulder and inspects for proper profile specifications and makes any required adjustments before producing order.
Operates machine, cutting wood to customer specifications and following production schedule.
Periodically checks for proper lengths and quality. Changes tooling when worn.
Completes production records indicating quantity, footage produced, profiles, species, customer identification etc.
Trains and assist in orientation of newly hired employees.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to operate machinery safely and determine when maintenance is needed.

The Forklift & Packaging Specialist is expected to work with limited supervision in a team environment and perform many duties assigned by the supervisor for the Ferche Frames Division. Must meet truck schedules while assembling and kitting jamb sets quickly and accurately. Assumes responsibility of this position and performs duties in a safe manner while meeting good quality standards and accuracy. Maintains communications associated with all involved in the assembly process and CNC operations to obtain accuracy of jamb sets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and understand orders that describe the jamb sets that are being assembled or kitted, knowing the difference between door swings and different types of machining.

Drives forklift safely and efficiently following all work rules and safe operating procedures. Assist all other forklift drivers when necessary and be the backup for them when absent.

Be familiar with species of wood.

Gather and bundle all components of jamb set orders for pre-finishing, gathering all items with accuracy to ensure all items needed for orders are included in the bundle.

Assemble and kit all regular frames, machined frames, pre-finished frames, etc., to meet truck schedules as needed.

Prioritize all jobs to complete jobs as needed.

Communicate with CNC operators and shipping personnel to ensure accuracy of jamb sets.

Use scanners and the computer on a daily basis to do unplanned moves, prod receipts, stock checks, etc.

Able to follow order instructions and kitting specifications as set forth by each customer.

Responsible for keeping work area clean and able to perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time with repetitive twisting, bending, and lifting. The employee must regularly lift materials up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Repetitive use of plastic hand wrappers. Ability to push and maneuver material filled carts regularly. Occasionally required to sit, drive and climb up and down off forklift.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months job related experience and/or training.

Forklift certification preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:
· Good attendance record.

· Ability to work with a high level of accuracy; keep paperwork and material organized and work station clean and orderly.

· Ability to work well with others, work as a team member and have good communication skills.

· Ability to operate forklift safely and determine when maintenance is needed.

· Be self-motivated, quality conscious, have a positive attitude and be opportunistic

· Be a forward thinker; and keep an open mind, be open to changes that arise in this ever-changing area of jamb assembly/kitting.

· Willing and able to work overtime as needed to complete jobs on time to meet truck schedules.

Pulling scrap pieces from working areas as needed.
Performs banding functions securing piles for transporting.
Performs inspection procedures of handling / banding equipment, changes tooling when worn.
