Every once in a while, I hear this when someone reaches out about Steady Spin DJ.

And you know what? That’s completely okay.

Every couple has a budget, and I know I’m not going to be the right fit for every wedding.

But lately, I’ve been taking a harder look at what professional wedding DJs are charging and everything that actually goes into providing a great wedding experience.

And I’ve realized something…

Maybe I’m not charging too much. Maybe I’ve actually been charging too little.

When you hire Steady Spin DJ, you’re not just paying me to show up with a couple speakers and hit play.

You’re paying for the hours of planning before your wedding. The conversations. The timeline. The ceremony audio. The professional sound equipment. The lighting. The backup equipment. The music preparation. The travel. The insurance. The experience of reading a dance floor and knowing when to change directions.

And probably most importantly…

You’re paying me to care about your wedding like it matters — because it does.

I want you to enjoy your day instead of worrying about what song comes next, whether the microphone is going to work, or if everyone knows what’s happening.

So if Steady Spin DJ is outside your budget, there are absolutely no hard feelings. I understand.

But I’m also learning something as I continue growing this little business:

“Over budget” and “overpriced” aren’t the same thing.

I’m proud of what I bring to a wedding, and I’m learning to be okay with charging what that experience is actually worth.

Because at the end of the night, I don’t want to be remembered as the cheapest DJ.

I want to be remembered as the DJ who helped make your wedding one heck of a night. 🎶❤️
